Ahahahaha! I really was not trying for cursed though. My original idea was to create a fun and cute face, then use the silicone to make a plushy/fur like texture. The color choice does make it look a bit... fleshy though! Hey guys! I know our last phone case was beans, but we also wanted to try a not-cursed phone case. In fact we wanted to go way in the other direction and make a decoden phone case! Wooooo we’re done with the resin tumbler! Honestly this was SO much fun, it was so chill to film, and I can’t believe it took us this long to try this technique. I think it was just the “break” we needed after the very difficult wood keyboard haha.
I love how it looks so different depending on what the mood ring crystals are showing.

We decided since we’ve done mood ring resin stuff before, what if we try something a little different? What if we HIDE a black vinyl image that “disappears” when the cup is black (the mood ring liquid crystals turn black when it’s cold) and reveals itself as your hands warm it up? The keys are all made! Now we still have the protective paper on them in this picture (which is why you can’t see the pink and purple wood from our original mock up) but the important thing is they all fit and we got them all on straight (straight enough at least!)
(The keys with blue tape needed some extra help because they had letter/number “middle” pieces that were floating (like the inner circle of an “O”).

So for some context, here's the anatomy of a keycap: there’s the visible top and sides of the key, and then on the underside there’s a stem.
We figured the top could be made out of a flat laser cut wooden piece, and the sides could be made of a thicker laser cut piece that we could glue/attach on.

Hey guys, we have a BIG project we’re working on - a fully wooden mechanical keyboard! Well minus the electronic bits haha.
This is a big undertaking - we have to make the keys themselves as well as the keyboard case, out of wood. You can see in the photoshop mockup above that we want to go with a bit of a scrabble theme for the letters/numbers style and we’re gonna do a few different colors - which we have access to thanks to the big stack of veneer samples Evan bought.

So first off, wow, we had a lot of unexpected results in the ultimate rice krispies face off! Our theories basically came down to:
- If we like cereal "a" more than cereal "b" we'll like rice krispie treat "a" more than "b"
- The less sweet the cereal, the better it will be since marshmallows are already so sweet.
Sometimes those theories held true and WOW sometimes it was the complete opposite.

Woooo! We are so happy with how it turned out. Honestly, the pink legs are so fun without being too crazy of a color. We also decided to add an undermount cabinet light at the last minute to add a little something special. Plus it hides the wire for the fountain! We have it routed behind one of the legs, and the tall plant in the middle distracts from the outlet.

Hahaha so remember the DIY gum kit I mentioned? Well we filmed that video and as part of the intro, Evan revealed his idea… which had been on my list too (sorta)! The mac-n-cheese powder from our Hot Cheetos mac-n-cheese. The video’s coming out Friday but I just have to share a few images from the abomination we made. At every step the gum looked like body parts. I have a feeling there are moments of this video that make people think we really are that type of channel.
