Not sure what happened here 🤭 this project started as 'ts80p.prproj' but the soldering iron didn't offer a whole lot of talking material. So instead I started rambling about noise ... for 25 minutes ...

@ 6min 30sec U: Unlock
I think that unlocks some of the calibration and eeprom programming functions.
But it needs a password. If you haven't seen it on Discord yet, can you guess what it is?
Hint: It's not 1234 000 password root etc ...

Happy involuntary holidays, hope you are all well!
If anybody wants to come and pick up some YAG laser parts or that entire cabinet, let me know! I only want to keep the long black thingy.

I had to shuffle some trivial details in this post a bit to keep the sources safe. They are not messing around in the high frequency light business 🕵️

I have a spare board, a TS100 husk and a bunch (not all) of parts. If anybody wants them, leave a comment and I'll send everything to the comment with the most hearts!

Wow this one took forever! I kinda made the CNC Spindle video at the same time, so that will also be finished soon. And then I have quite a large backlog of small stories about TIG welders, particle detectors and Japanese high voltage test gear 😵

This is a loaner for now, so no teardown :( But it is a great source of inspiration and motivation.
EDIT: I've added a few more things and will probably make this a public vid right before the fiber laser!

Actual B7000 instructions on the box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEsJ3J3H6ZU
To flip out the top floor of the fiber laser I'll have to unwind some fiber from that slanted spool ... and it creeps me out. My instinct says that it's important, because they wouldn't do that for no reason. But on the other hand the fiber is just held on with double sided tape, so it can't be *that*...

EDIT: Thank you for the feedback! I've smoothed over a few rough edges anyway :)
Guys and gals, is this too boring for a public release? I was aiming for a little demonstration of a LinuxCNC + Mesa setup and its advantages but that made it neccessary to cover all the basics that probably everybody knows already.
I am adding some oscilloscope jitter histogram measurement and some VFD and servo load displays to the LinuxCNC UI today, maybe that'll m...
