How much FORCE does your LEASH have when you fall off a highline?

I did what I do best at and fell off my highline!  But I put the dynomometer between me and the leash to find out how much force the only NON-redundant part of our highline sees.

CHART IS FOUND ON https://www.slackademics.com/hnth/slacksnap

Burning Man 2018 - 10 Tips and Tricks to make the most out of your experience

I know this isn't your standard slackline video, but thank you for supporting this channel overall.  We have invested over $500 more into slacksnap machine so we really appreciate you guys!  I spent months prepping for burning man so it was nice to put all those pieces together for a video I wish I watched before I went.  Cheers!

Yosemite Beta 2.0 - Eichorn Pinnacle + Matthess Crest + Half dome + 3 other secret lines

Let's alleviate traffic away from the most popular lines in Yosemite.  We have lines here that are easy, hard, seasonal, open year around and more.  This is to help make your trip to Yosemite just a little bit smoother.  Please consider doing this for your local highline area, message me and we can work together to make it an episode on HowNOTtoHighline.  Thank you for helping to get "Your Mom" up Catrina Sisco, Aurélio Rosa, and Kimberly Weglin! Slack Snap - Can fiber reinforced tape break your highlines

Fiber reinforced tape is great to tape your main line and backup together on a highline because it won't tear when it is windy or during whippers, but is it so strong that it can break your webbing?  We tested fiber tape, duct tape, and climbing tape up to 16 layers thick on our break test machine and filmed it in slow motion.

Check out my other video on how to tape highlines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M...

SlackSnap: Woodgrip vs Linegrip - what's the best grip for your highline and slackline rig

(Thank you Anthony Chandler for the PORTUGUESE subtitles!)

The Slackline WoodGrip by Kyriakos Kyriakakis goes up against the time tested beloved G2 Linegrip.  The WoodGrip is 2.5x lighter and 4x cheaper but is it just as strong?  This is also an open source project so Kyriakos shows how he makes it (thank you George Economou for filming it) and the beta can be found at https://www.slackademics.com/hnth/sl...

How to derig a highline - real life example on "your mom" in Yosemite National Park

Want to see an easy way to derig a highline in under 2 minutes... well sort of under 2 minutes.  Watch us derig a new line we just established in Yosemite that is near Taft Point and is 84 meters and we named it "Your Mom".  Having the soft release on the static side makes it much easier, quicker and safer to derig.  Thank you Aurélio Rosa for filming me taking "Your Mom" down while Catrina Sisco and Kimberly Weglin both worked her over.  :)

Slack Snap! - Break testing sewn loops on slackline webbing in slow motion

Here are 32 break tests to compare how sewn loops hold up on webbing.  We compare the strength of the loops that I had done by a local source at the jump center near where I live with the strength of webbing in weblocks.  We film each break in slow motion and organized a chart that can be found at Slackademics.  https://www.slackademics.com/hnth/slacksnap

How NOT to Highline in Yosemite - Beta for Classic Lines

Visiting Yosemite???  Here is almost everything you will need to know when you are there.  I hope this helps your trip be the best experience it can be, but I hope this doesn’t drive too much traffic towards our classic lines.  We discuss how to get around and how to follow the rules because that is most important in trying to preserve our fragile access there.  We show you the classic areas of Taft, Rostrum and Lost Arrow Spire in this episode, but be sure to watch our nex...

SlackSnap - How I built my 222KN break test machine - slackline gear breaking in slow motion

FINALLY!  I dreamed of doing this a year ago and I finally have a SlackSnap machine worthy of the task.  We are going to break stuff... lots of stuff.  In fact I've already done 70 samples.  It is portable, it can "safely" go up to 177KN and unsafely to 222KN.  Why on earth do I want something so strong???  I want to break ANYTHING we think of.  Please don't try this at home and just let me do it.  :)  Leave your ideas in the comments below on what yo...

Ultimate Buying Guide 3 of 3 - Rigging a highline safely with minimal gear

The most expensive thing you will do slacklining/highlining is buy gear twice.  In a perfect world you would buy gear that you can use for both slacklining and highlining.  I present an option for an entire setup that would cost less than $1000 and you can do everything with and be able to add to it, rather than outgrow it.

This series is aimed for those who want to slackline AND highline and currently have no gear.  My gear wall is not my success, it is my failure. &...

Walking a Mile long Highline - Interview with Pablo Signoret

Pablo Signoret tells us what it was like to be one of the first to send a mile long highline.  On June 9th, 2017 Pablo Signoret, Nathan Paulin and Lucas Milliard with the SDD team (Sangle Dessus-Dessous) led by Guillaume Barrande, all sent the 1662 meter or 5,453 foot long highline.  This line was 340 meters or 1115 feet above the Cirque de Navacelles valley.

Antony Newton also almost got the record only falling 152 meters from the end.  Friedi Kuhne also walked the ...

Ultimate Highline Buying Guide - New but a dirtbag? Minimalist gear for slacklining and highlining

I should have made this video a long time ago.  If you are new, and have no gear, and want to slackline so you can eventually highline... then this is the episode you must watch.  The biggest expense of buying gear... is having to buy gear twice because it works for slacklining, but not for highlining (and vice-versa).  Or because you out grow your gear fast.  My gear wall is not my success, it is my failure.  No one needs that much shit!  No one sponsors me and I d...

Lost Arrow Spire in Yosemite National Park - Climb and Highline, in a day, couch to couch by myself

This is a project that I have planned for 2 years now.  2005 i failed at climbing it.  2006 I climbed it but failed at rigging the highline.  2010 I rigged highline but failed at walking it.  I have had a few successful trips since then but it was always a 3 day project with a team and now you can watch my journey as I attempt to do everything by myself in under 24 hours from Lodi which is a 3 hour drive from Yosemite.  Please share in the comments below, or in a private...

Sewn loops and soft shackles

I got sewn loops done locally and we will put soft shackles on them to connect our webbing together for big highlines.  We will do break tests for these but these are my actual pieces so obviously I don't want to break them but I did put them all at 2000lbf so I know they are bomber before I have all my friends trust their life to the system.  haha.

This is not an episode, I just film everything I do so here's a freeby just for you guys. :)
