Further bug hunting and we continue the story (a bit)

So , this weekend was mostly filled with story progression but also a little bit debugging.

One thing ws that the tentacle tail was only marked for one hole... and not both >_< (it should block both since it is capable of penetrating both)

Another thing was that i forgot to implement ways to detach the little stimulators attached to you know what ^_^

Bug hunting and watering the plants... ^_^

So , this weekend was mostly decidcated to bug hunting. here is a little list of things i fixed (or should have fixed)

- Mayas tentacle tail is now attachable in the normal generic way after the unique event
- Helmets should now work properly after a savegame a has been loaded
- occlusion culling has been fixed for the windows in Yukaris base (the one sitze see through things)

Furthermore i had to make a second copy of all my project files onto another HD drive to save the...

Milky Ways Closed Beta 0.55

So.. yes.. i hope i can release this as a closed beta.
I tesed it myself as steamtester and a close friend of mine played it trough to make a little alpha test. ( Maybe i really introduce this tier later)

Smoketesting and Debugging weekend >_<

So.. this weekend on sunday i was able to press the "build game to exe " button the first time.

I added a little bit more generic content and then i went on to smoketest the game.
And.. yess... it works... kind of... ~__~.. until i saw the first pirate base. 

Or rather.. what i did not see.

Many many many occulsion errors so i had to rebuild occulsion again with different settings. Then again... then... story errors. (player got stuck because i forgot to kick him...

Weekend log

Wasn't able to do much this weekend since i had to work on saturday. So i had only the sunday to work on the game.

Anyway , i added some vn frames and a event in which you are finaly able to open the crashed vehicle but not much more.

Next weekend i need to finish the "exploration" events and calculate umbra occulsion culling. From my experience the caulcation of the occulsion culling will take about 4 hours to complete and i hope i can use the results.

More devices for the.. you know...

As i stated last weekend i spend the whole weekend on implementing the devices which the player can find in the new pirate base room.

It was actually two devices , one to attach and one to place. (as seen in the picture above). I am done with all the events for those but i still need to create some more events outsite of the base and just on the island.

Once i am done with that i will compile my first alpha version and make a smoketest. I usually just run through the whole game on...

One more room to explore

As mentioned last weekend i wanted to extend the second pirate station a bit.

I added one more room with allthe clutter necessary and generated the navmesh once more (since i do not like the girls to run through objects)

I also added a few more events but not that much. Next weekend i need to implement the "new devices" the player can find and... use..

So.. not much to say this weekend.  Business as usual :)

New stuff to place and.. use...

This weekend was compromised of adding the last generic events for Maya as well as the BDSM kneeler device for Yukari , Maya and Malia.

I think i added about 250 Vn frames or more ( i guess more since i could copy and toothpaste some stuff) and made the new device also buildable for the player.

The next weekend (if nothing gets in the way) i am planning on extending the second pirate base a bit and for good measure i also plan on making at least one device findable , repairab...

More generic events for Maya

This weekend was full of adding more content for Maya. Since she is joining the testsubject crew she would like to be able to do what Malia and Yukari can do (using devices and.. doing..stuff...)

So in this weekend i added about 250 Vn frames .(now we are at 11400)

Furthermore i increased the chemical plant generation speed a bit. insteadt of ticking every 30 second it now ticks for every 12. So i hope this will give you guys plenty of new chemicals to create things with the 3d p...

Weekend log

Pretty straightforward log this time. As you may or may not know , I need to generate some more generic events for Maya since well... you get the idea.

So i added about 200 Vn frames this weekend as well as a animation set with 600 frames. (currently watchable during the story events , need also some generic events for this one)

I think storywise i added enough stuff but i still need to add more things into the second pirate base and at least two new placeable machines.

Need more Events >_<

The last release (version 0.42) was shipped with 7600 VN frames. Iam currenntly at 10300 and to be honest with you guys it is not everything in the game i would like to have for the next version. 

So i guess i need to continue until i can say i made a decent amount of progress. As seen in the picture above i introduced Maya into... (spoilers which i do not want to spoil xD)

... yes i am evil :D

Anyway , i added about 300 vn frames this weekend and also some new outfits ...

More events for Yukari

This weekend i finaly got the implement all the events she needs to be a "proper" girlfriend.
Furthermore i added about 100 Vn frames to the story as well as the bolero straightjacket (which is also equipable by Malia/Yukari (if you discovered the robot).

And.. in another note i finaly found the bug who caused the inventory to show up in the 3d Printer menu. It was the case when the inventory was not properly closed after the player used the fast traveling system. So... fixed in dev...

Weekend log

This weekend i wanted to continue with the story insteadt of the generic events for Yukari.
I added about 200 vn frames for the story as well as a special animation which i guess i will only use once.

As you can see in the GIF , I also re-created a very shiny version of the bolero straightjacket. (with breast covers for some reason). 

So , a very normal weekend with normal stuff ^_^

I guess i will add more VN frames until i reached 9000 and then i will add a new...

Finaly Upgraing Yukari

As many of you know , Yukari was not realyl able to be a full time girlfriend. So... time to change this.
The machine you have seen in former panels with Yukari on it is the one in question which will perform... things... you know..
So i still need to update Yukaris generic events to celebrate her new.. features.

Weekend log

This weekend was a mixture of many things.

I had to fix a bug in my VN creation framework (the flash thingy) which caused unity3d to mention that my function was too big... yes a function can be too big xD

Furthermore i added about 200 VN frames for the story (gif as evidence) and i also implemented some new animations for a new S*X position. (currently only used in the story need to create the generic event for this one later)

Weekend story creation log

This weekend was mostly used for story creation and to create a special suit (from the ground up). I created some simple animations too but not too much.

Saturday was mostly used to create a suit from scratch ( i need one with sensors on it) and on sunday i created a bit more story.

So.. not much to say this weekend. Just the usual work :)

Anyway , this weekend was a pure Story-creation weekend. I did not touched any animations this time. I added about 200 VN frames as well as... the rope says it all (in the gif)

Currently it is only used in the story but i will make it useable for the other girls pretty soon.
And.. well.. nothing more to say actually.

Next weekend it is more work to do ^_^

Weekend device creation log

This weekend was dedicated to create a special device (as seen in the picture above) with its animations. Took me a long while how to figure out what to do actually and.. uff...

Anyway , i got the device and the animations and i also implemented them into the game (technically but not actually used in the story). Story implementation comes later.

What the devices does... well your imagination should help you with that xD

Weekend story log

This weekend was a pure story addition weekend. I created about 200 VN frames and advanced the story quite a bit with it. As you can see in the gif Maya will get to play a role in discovering the process of the chemicals and.. well.. everything else would be spoilers xD

Anyway , i also added a few more AI life events (for Maya in Yukaris base) as well as solved  some problems with the "restraint  System"

And.. besides that... not much to say. Just the usual =)

Continue the work...

This weekend i continued on the story mode and added about 100 VN Frames.
I also created one animation set which is also used in the story. (fit thights saves lives)

Furthermore i got rid of a small bug in the loading and save screen. In the 0.42 release i wanted to make it that you can jump to the last page with savegames used if you click on the "previous" page" button while beeing on the very first page of the load/save window. but this feature did not really work good so i fixed...

My Vacation weekend log

This weekend i rewarded myself with a vacation since i released Milky Ways 0.42 public beta last weekend .

 Haven't done that much on Milky Ways , fixed some bugs here and there , Addeda new costume (see GIF) and answered some questions regarding the game on Pirate central (F95Zone)

Not much to say except... i need to do one shoutout to Neko who made the first spellchecking file for Milky Ways.

Milky Ways Public Beta 0.42

So , let me be honest here. I had vacation last week so i was able to fix tons of bugs and i also added one mroe scene to the game (about 300 vn frames).

And.. so i decided that it is time for the public beta. I thought it would take longer but thanks to my vacation here it is.

After a long weekend of bug finding and bug spray

Ahm.. i accidently released the 32 Bit version of Milky Ways 0.4 as closed beta so... ahm.. don't know. I guess this isn't that bad ??

Okay , i had to fix a big payload of bugs from many people who played the game.
And at one time i even receved a list of 50 bugs which.. took a while >_< (Looking at you Altair)

I kind of closed the lid on Malias and Yukaris events yesterday and created a AI live event in which Malia will dress some more or less lewd clothes if a certain arousal value has been reached.

Weekend log (mostly AI live events)

This weekend i created several AI live events in case a girl wants to use one of the machines on her own. THis is not about the Pillory but about another one which is actually mandatory in the story. (has somethign to do with milk)

I also added about 250 VN events and added a new animations set which the player can use to have a good time with Malia.

So.. i hope i can close the lid on all the events i need for Malia next weekend and then start to create the pirate base underground...

Generic weekend story log part 2

Okay this weekend was also only writing generic events for Malia. I only did that and added about 600 VN frames this weekend alone. (we are now at 6200 vn frames)

Weekend generic story log

This time i only worked on the generic events for Malia since... well i let your imagination flow on this one , isn't that hard.

Anyway my VN frame counter tells me that i am at 5600 VN frames and i asume i created about 200 VN frames this weekend alone. There are still some generic events missing (a new device which Malia may need to use for.. reasons... )

Once this is finished i can concentrate on the pirate base events and on the story mod framework.

Okay , i think i got the main campaing where i wanted it to be for the update cut. This weekend i created mostly the story main campaing and not so much the animations.
