here's some concept art for the next episode of HLTW. some of the more eagle-eyed viewers out there might have already seen this sketch. i have been sitting on this one for a bit. won't go too deep into what the episode will be about. instead, i will let the sketch do the talking

15 years later

just realized its now been 5 years since i drew this first image, and by extension, 15 years since starting high school. in order to celebrate the freedom of no longer living under the oppressive hierarchical structure of high school, here is TY being even more gay in 2025

HLTW episode 2 sneak peek

after a lot of time wrangling the audio clips into something listenable, i am now animating. here's a sneak peek of what the episode will be about. gonna try to finish animation by the first. probably won't happen, but i can try anyways

AUDIO and ANIMATION

i dont like editing audio. i cant listen to the spice girls or bubsy 3d playthroughs while equalizing. im doing what must be done, the finishing touches on the audio for the second HLTW. i recorded audio in 3 different sessions and they all sound a little different due to several variables such as acoustics of the recording room, the dryness of my throat, the alignment of the stars etc. luckily the episode takes place in a cathedral so i can maybe drown it all out with artificial reverb to ma...

CHIPTUNE SETUP

had this idea for live performances. one gameboy is playing a drum pattern that's being sent as a dry signal to the amp in his backpack. the other gameboy is connected to a reverb pedal for atmosphere. i've been wanting to get pickups for my uke so i can combine it all together for the ultimate pocket-sized music setup. now i just need to git gud at playing instruments (i am not good at instruments)

BEHIND THE PUPPET

here's a little look behind the scenes of HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLVES. for the bite test scene, i originally wanted to rotoscope a sock puppet eating a burger. the idea was to make the animation look uncanny and off-putting in order to catch the viewer off guard, thus enhancing the joke. the footage i recorded of me chomping on a sponge with a sock puppet did not turn out very good, so i deleted the live-action footage off of my drive to make space for more pics of my dogs, and i just animated the...

SOCK PUPPET ANIMATION TEST

FOOD REVIEW CONCEPT

so instead of comics this month, i was thinking of doing something a little different. here's a rough concept for an animated short about TY and suski making a fast food review for youtube. i already have dialog recorded and i just need to do some "animation." its gonna look like a show that plays on adult swim at 3 am in 2002, that is to say, the animation will be cheap. i hope it will be funny enough that the production quality doesnt matter
