I woke up waaaay too early this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. My ability to stay focused was nil. I tried fiddling around with gouache and this was the result. I think I learned something though? I don't know. I'll have to sleep on it and see if I retained anything.

Not ALL the cat noses, but a great many cat noses :P They vary SO MUCH in shape; it's fascinating. The pampas cat especially has such a silly nose.

It's amazing how a couple of days oil painting has changed my use of acrylics drastically. I went from a flatter and more methodical application of paint to something looser.
The commissioners wanted a more toony style so I reached back into my TLK days.

Hey my dudes. I spent a long weekend going out and enjoying what MIGHT be the last sunny days of the year here in the Seattle area @___@ My roommate got a fancy new camera and lens and we went on a birding trip around Defiance Point Park. If anybody is interested in photos I can show the best ones.

I was looking for some notes in old piles of paper and happened to find these. There's this game I play with my friends where we write shit down on strips of paper, put them in a pile, and randomly pick two or three, and then draw whatever words we picked. I think everyone else took theirs but here are some of mine. As you can see a lot of pervy furries contributed to the word list XD

This was for an inktober prompt from a few days ago but it needed to totally dry out.
This is a japanese technique where you freeze ink on paper. It's the first time I've tried it and I love it and am learning how the ink behaves and what to do to get a look I want. The unfortunate thing about it is that, the paper being wet when it unfreezes, most of the ink washes off. Which makes me think that dye might be better. I BELIEVE I still have some in my textile box so I may try that next...
Plugging along with Inktober. This was drawn first in pencil and then inked with a very small brush using FW acrylic artists ink, which I think I like better than the non-acrylic kind. it's very dense and black and covers well. It's also waterproof when dry. The white on the tree was inked in with a uniball signo broad white pen. I've tried a number of gel pens for white and so far this one is the best.
