Rescued House Finch
The other day I noticed a male house finch trying desperately to scoot its way up the pole of our bird-feeder to get food. It made a little leap but couldn't reach, unable to fly more than an inch at best.
I caught him with a towel and my roommate and I called a bunch of places to see who could take him and then drove him an hour down the coast to an animal hospital. It took a while but it was worth it!

So this morning the art show director of Furry Fiesta called me to let me know the artwork I'd sent him had not arrived. I checked my postal information and went to the post office and they had no record of it in their system, which means that it was probably stolen off my porch waiting for pickup. :C
