December rewards out! ... kind of

Hello!

Just dropping in quickly today. I'm still away and haven't had as much time as usual to check on things, but I'm here today, at least.

Patreon has started charging patrons, though there are still a good amount of those in the $10+ tiers whose pledges are pending, so I'm going to wait a bit so I can send the reward pack to all of you at once. All the $1 and $5 tier patrons are nicely processed, so I've sent the appropriate rewards to them. Apologies for the wait, everyone else!

A Heart Is Precious: preview page

More updates for the month. This is one page I got done for the comic I have storyboards for (reading direction: left to right). The title of the story is indeed A Heart Is Precious, and it's actually kind of a long story to illustrate. Maybe I could've picked something shorter as a first comic project... oh well.

I said I'd try to have the first chapter done during the month, but that's not really going to happen anymore thanks to the setbacks outlined in the last post. ...

I've been doing a lot of stuff for practice lately... so here are a couple of pieces from Konohana Kitan that's airing this season.

Painting is still kind of challenging, but I'm getting a handle on it bit by bit. I'll put these (with their PSDs) in the $5 tier for this month!

It's now done (since a couple of days ago)! I actually wasn't too sure when to stop, but I figured this was far enough to call it done.

The theme is "martial arts bunny from the future"! Or something.

I tried a new coloring method for this one. I want to try to use it more since it helps establish good values from the start instead of doing it progressively, which allows more chances of messing things up. Thanks for looking!

Paper GJ-bu

I finished my work early last month in order to play Super Mario Odyssey when it came out... but it was only delivered on the following Monday, so I had some free time over the weekend.

In an effort to start finishing off the many projects I've had ideas for (or at least advancing them to a good place to stop), I decided to get the GJ-bu game (lovingly named Paper GJ-bu for now) to a playable state.

This is Seren (the original character), with an outfit inspired by the Atelier series! I actually had to ponder this idea for a couple of weeks, and last night I came up with most of the ideas for the costume while trying and failing to fall asleep. It was a fun sketch to make; just needs some quick colors and some polishing!

I took a break to do some other stuff before finishing this... and when I came back to it, I saw a couple of things I didn't like about it so much. But I think it turned out okay in the end!

There's some stuff I want to try differently next time (like different lines and color). I hope it'll be enjoyable to see.
