The US Protests and the Struggle for Black Liberation

Here's the video on the important events happening in the US right now, probably my most controversial video yet.

Since my Mainländer video is taking much longer than intended, I uploaded the script in case anyone is interested in reading it before the video comes out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cbDq00L1RyeB8Ge--ZuLvA7MICON7eTv/view?usp=sharing

Update

It would feel inappropriate for me to release a video on Mainländer without first acknowledging the protests and riots happening in the US, so I will first release a video on that. It will be short and to the point and deal with practical concerns. I want it to be something that people can easily share around with everyone. Given all that, it won't have Patreon names read out at the end. I'm sure you understand.
After that, however, I will upload the Mainländer video as soon as it's fini...

Update... Again...

My initial plan was to finish the Mainländer video more than a month ago, but being busy in general coupled with some unpredictable circumstances delayed it way too much.

Recently, my already high stress was made worse by a bizarre encounter with cops while passing a border check on a public bus, where during a passport check I was picked out for a full search and was made by a cop to undress (fully). The only reason given was that I looked nervous. The entire thing still seems so biz...

Update

As you can see, I wasn't able to finish the Philipp Mainländer video as I had planned. Overworked myself a bit and have been dealing with some personal things. Since I'm back doing uni I'm not sure when the Mainländer video will be out, probably some time next month. Sorry about the delay.

Marx was not a "statist"

New video! The title is a bit clickbait-y, I don't find "statist" to be a very useful term so I don't use it in the video, but it gives people an idea of what the video will be about.

A lot of people will disagree with this one, but I hope you enjoy either way. I spent the entirety of yesterday editing it without any breaks, so I hope it pays off. Thanks!

Update

I'm an idiot because I could've used one of my only weeks of vacation time to relax, but instead committed myself to making two videos. If everything goes well, two videos will come out over next week. The first one will be on Marx and the state, the transition from capitalism to communism, as well as the views of Lenin and some history on the Soviet Union. The second video will be the long-awaited video on Philipp Mainländer, as the previous poll determined. Hope you'll enjoy them, have a n...

Update + Poll

Hey everyone! Sorry for the absence. Hope you are dealing with the quarantine successfully and getting to read some theory. The last poll made clear that my next video will be on Marx's views on the state and I'm currently working on the script. Next week I have a break from uni, and I want to spend it trying to make an additional video both to make up for my rare uploading rate and to give you something more to watch during quarantine. I'm making another poll so I could immediately know what...

What should the next video be?

Time to pick a new video topic! Here are the options:

1) There’s a popular scene in Toy Story 3 where Mr. Potato Head is assembled using a tortilla instead of a potato, but still retains his consciousness and personal identity. So the question arises: where does Potato Head’s personal identity reside? Is it in the sum of his parts, or their particular combination? Similar questions can be asked about humans as well. I will explore anti-essentialist views on personal identity by uti...

Notes on my latest video

I wrote the reading notes for my latest video. It's basically a text going a bit more in-depth on some of Fourier's ideas, and I recommend it if you're new and want to learn more.

I attached the file here, but you can also find it on the Cuck Google drive, under the folder "Video notes", along with many other complementary notes I've written. Have a good day!

Charles Fourier and Cuck Philosophy

Managed to get the video out relatively quickly! This is a bit of a different one. First off, it's shorter, and has a somewhat unusual (and maybe silly?) topic. It's also focused on introducing a specific thinker more than most of my videos are. I hope you enjoy.

On the Cuck Google drive, I uploaded the video script, and I'll upload the reading notes for the video as soon as I write them.
I also uploaded "The Theory of the Four Movements" by Charles Fourier, and "Socialism: Utopian ...

Update

As the poll made clear, my next video will be on Charles Fourier. I'm sorry about the long wait. I had to put off the video for almost a month because of the sponsorship deal, which was processing very slowly. Seeing how much it was delaying my content (not to mention the fact that I'd have to send them a draft video for review) I decided to opt out. I'm going to try getting the video out as soon as I can, hopefully in the next few days.

I've also been extra busy because of some good n...

What should the next video be on?

Time to pick the next video topic. Here are the options:

1) The profile pic I use is an image of Charles Fourier. A lot of people don't know who this is or why I picked his face. He's an early French socialist (one of the people Marx terms "utopian socialists", influential to Marx & Engels, as well as to the surrealists later on), he's also an early proponent of gay rights, and credited with coining the word "feminism". Those are all good reasons to have his face be the face...

My 10 Favorite Books of 2019

Video is finally out.
I added all the books mentioned to the Google drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1rasWDAFyI4t1EOSePbeLc0LbMKf10rHN
With the exception of 2 books I couldn't find in e-book form: "Heidegger: a (very) critical introduction" and "Videodrome Scene-by-Scene".

I'll make a poll regarding my next video later today so I could get to researching it soon. &nbs...

Update

As you can see, I didn't get to finish my book video yet, currently editing it, which should take 1-2 days, 3 at most.

I also had an idea. Sometimes I need music to fill up background space in my audio, especially during the patron credits. So I thought I'd ask my musician patrons (you), to link music they've made, and I might end up using some of it while crediting you in the description. Obviously, instrumental music would work best. Thanks in advance!

Update + Sponsorship

The video on my favorite books of 2019 is still in the works. I'll try to get it out before the month ends, or at the beginning of next month at worst.

I have also received an offer to be sponsored by Audible, I haven't responded with either a yes or a no, and have yet to discuss the details, and I'd like to hear your opinions on doing something like this. On the one hand, I'm not entirely sure about having my videos sponsored, especially if it would have to interrupt my content somewh...

“Truth and Method” by Hans-Georg Gadamer

Update 3

Despite not being able to get it up on Youtube, I've had some amazing feedback on my latest video, and I'm extremely grateful for everyone's support. I've filed disputes under fair use against the copyright claims, and hopefully they'll go through and the video will be available on YouTube.

Meanwhile, the video is available on the Cuck Philosophy google drive:

Update 2

My holidays ended up being way more busy than I thought, and I only managed to finish editing the video today. I spent my holidays working on it just to get it out before the year ends, but it got blocked immediately after uploading due to a copyright claim. I already tried disputing the claim but if that doesn't work I'll have to edit the footage beyond recognition like I did with The Emoji Movie. Thank you for your patience, I'll try to get it out as soon as I can.

The topic of human rights was the clear winner on the last poll, and I'm already roughly done writing the script. Just gotta record the audio, get some other YouTubers to record quotes for it, and edit, so hopefully it'll be done soon, this week at best, and before the month ends at the very least.

Another announcement is that this Friday, at 8 PM CET, I'll be doing an AMA on r/LateStageCapitalism ( https...

What should the next video be about?

Time for a new poll. Here are the options:

1) This would be about the 1990 movie Total Recall (and potentially Blade Runner), prosthetic memory, and the relations between memory, identity, and authenticity. I would draw mostly on an essay on the topic by Alison Landsberg, but might also use Derrida's ideas on teletechnology. I’d talk about Total Recall as a postmodern take on memory and identity, as it problematizes the connection between them and authenticity.

2) There’s a ...

Hey, everyone! Finally, my computer has been repaired. Obviously a lot of money has gone into that so thank you all for the patronage. I'm gonna get back into business as soon as possible and hopefully will be out with 2 new videos within the month.

Shameful update

My computer screen cracked while travelling, making the bottom half of the screen completely invisible and hard to work with. It doesn't help that I'm not home at the moment. I don't know when I'll be able to fix it but as the poll made clear, I'll start working on the video on Baudrillard and the Matrix as soon as I do. Sorry about the delay. Obviously, if you have any tips for fixing the screen, let me know. I hope you're having a nice summer.
