Home alone, again // Self-Portraits

I was going to write "dirty" on my arms with lipstick and sit in the sink to wash it off but then this is what happened instead. Just a little self-portrait practice. Still working on learning how to get everything I want in focus to stay in focus while I shoot. I also should film some behind the scenes of me actually doing this because it's only a 10 second timer and it's probably pretty funny to watch me run into position. Yuba Pt. 2

The Yuba River is an extremely special place for me and for others. And when I say special, I don't say it lightly. I have hard memories with this place too. Feat. Huxleybird // Underwater 💦

Going to try to post here a lot more this month, for now here is some trippy blurry photos of me underwater in my first attempt at an underwater shoot. I loved this day so much, getting to play in front of the camera, in the water, and learn a little bit about underwater photography. It was super shallow water, so every time I touched the bottom, I'd kick up sand, which creates murky photos. BUT I kinda like it, hope you do too ❤️

P&Pm Part II // Full Set

In my last post here, I shared some captures from my puppet shoot with Sarah and Natalie. We set up her bedroom as some sort of stage, with curtains behind her and a single chair. Everything was spontaneous and unplanned. I had an idea and instead of overthinking it, we just got together and let it go. Wondering which edit you like better? A part of me likes the bright edit, it somehow has an alien glow that fits the portal vibe. However, a part of me prefers the darker edit, especially when imagining it printed. It feels more magazine-ish. The way a photo is edited can change so much about a photo, I should show you the before and after's more often ❤️

Kanaha // full series

We had a 5 day storm here in Maui with the loudest rain I've ever heard, flooding, houses being pushed off their foundation, etc. There was a break in the weather and this woman reached out to shoot before she flew back home to California. A fellow photographer friend recommended me to her. We met at her hostel, shot for an hour and then I took her to the airport. Jette with our San Pedro cactus ❤️ I made some cactus wallpapers for fun, and I realized how much I like creating things like this. I've attached several wallpaper downloads for you as well as a couple short mp3's that I know for sure can be downloaded and used as a lock screen backdrop on a Samsung, but for iPhone you have to convert the video to a Live Photo to be able to set it to your backgrounds. If you decide to use these, I'd love to know how you like them!

I recently went down to LA for a week in hopes to create with fellow artists, work, explore the area and understand a bit more about what it feels like. My family is from Hollywood and I grew up spending a lot of time in the beach areas around LA. I spent a lot of time getting to know the folks who hosted me, which is in an epic area called Thousand Oaks, about an hour outside of downtown. Thousand Oaks is smothered with beautiful hills and hiking trails. Naively, I decided not to rent a car....
