I'm a super visual person. When I watch a movie, it sticks in my head for days. When I do a shoot, edit the photos, discuss the art, share it, print it... it's ingrained into my mind possibly forever. About the landscape. This is a river beach area about a half hour drive down the Columbia River Gorge outside of Portland. The beach stretches longer than the eye can see and is filled with these little pools. It's been a little while since I got to do a creative shoot with some new friends. I took a week to travel down to Sonoma County in northern California, where I am originally from. I just realized that the story should end with me disappearing into the mirror completely.

Some shots from down by the water at Turtle Cove. Easily one of my favorite spots on Maui, partly because most people do not know about it or make the climb. The part I love most is that this shoot was a trade for a car rental on Maui for 2 weeks. I think it's a good sign when almost every shoot you do is your new favorite shoot.
I lived in Hawaii off and on for 10 years. It's a part of me and I miss it often. I organized this shoot during my recent visit. I also did a shoot for my friends band, as well as a multiple day shoot for my friends art business. It was extra extra special to get to create art in a place that is so dear to me and one of the most beautiful places I have ever been on the planet.

Here's the full set from my share today on instaland. There, I tend to crop my images much more than I should or want to because I want the image to be as large as possible. I love sharing here because I get to show you the reality of the scene, uncropped and as large as possible.

Messy milk shoot idea test shots with your huxleybird. Have you heard of the new batman movie? I haven't seen it or even watched the trailer. But I've geeked out on some surprisingly epic stills of the actors and it inspired me to try it at home. I'd like to possibly do this with a model as the right cat like woman arises.
