Goodbye September, ready for fall

Hey everyone, coming in for the monthly update! Slight rant ahead too!

I've been doing my best to remain optimistic for September, and things have been getting done. But all along the way there have been these various delays in plans, and I don't mind being inconvenienced but it was one of those situations where it kept happening one right after the other. So my optimism kinda just wore off by the last week of the month and the weekend was spent feeling yuck.

Been having a hard time drawing lately, but other issues have been coming up that have left me done for the day. We finally got new plumbing in our house! The previous owners had a lot of  DIY stuff that was not up to code so my boyfriend and I have been saving up all year to get it all replaced. You've reached adult status when things like that get you psyched. But then again, no one wants leaky pipes and potential flooding issues no matter how old you are.

I got my site up and I'm a little nervous in sharing since its been a while I had my own website. But I'm super happy with the accomplishment! It has the basic stuff up so far but I hope to add onto my galleries and get a proper contact page in. I hope you like it and please share it around too :3

Another month down and only four more left till the year is over! I hope everyone has had a good year so far despite...everything. Once again I wanna thank everyone who has supported me here, through my dry spells, and weird art spells, and everything in between! I have no idea how to make this space more engaging, but if no one is complaining about the art I've been posting that's always a good sign!

He Who Devours

Socializing and this insane heat has left me feeling drained so art hasn't come as easy as I want it to. But this piece was fun to do. I got to be messy with it which is honestly what we need to do every once in a while. Where you don't have to worry about perfect lines and composition and what not. This was done with pen, crayola super tips with water, gouache, posca pens, and colored pencils!

It's August!

Apologies for not being active again. After art fight I found I needed a break from art. It's one of those instances where you wanna draw but your body is like "NO" it kinda feels like when you're hungry and you open the fridge but nothing sounds appetizing.

Finished sketchbook, new sketchbook!

I managed to finish my last sketchbook before June ended and I'll have to see if I can do another sketchbook tour video because I was really happy with this one. It didn't have a brand name but I got it a craft store so definitely gotta see if they have more. Zora OC concepts

I kinda wanna tackle the other races (rito, goron etc) because they all look like fun. Zora have been a blast because of the marine life you could use as inspiration.

Tears of the Kingdom sketches (spoilers!)

We've recently beat TOTK and it was a fun experience, and while I have some critiques overall it was a really great game. But man the Tears of the Dragon quest destroyed my heart ;_; I've been haunted by the Light Dragon's design.

Gerudo Gals

Some sketches of Ifora and Litas! One of my goals is to try work on making my characters have "intent" in pictures, whether via body language/action or interacting with others so its not always just random floating heads (unless theyre character studies) 

There's nothing wrong with floating character sketches, but personally I tend to do those when I'm bored and I don't want to be bored with my art ;n; I want to tell stories!

My small absence

So just want to give a small heads up that if I don't post in a while it's due to Tears of the Kingdom and art I've made that has revolved around it which has spoiler content and I didn't wanna just dump art along with any spoilers in case anyone playing hasn't reached specific areas and story bits, so I'm waiting a while!

Thoughts on shipping and headcanons

I wanted to share this somewhere because it was on my mind for a while. Some fans spoiled Tears of the Kindom for me because they were upset over something. And without dropping spoilers here in case anyone hasn’t played yet or gotten too far I wanted to kinda vent about my thoughts on shipping and the behaviors that crop up in fandom spaces.

Agra's red hair became a story of its own and because I have always been a sucker for stories with prophetic themes it's how the Red Saiyans were made.

Along with Agra, there were three other lady saiyans born before her with red hair. Trip down memory lane: FFXII Edition

My interest in FF12 was a fun time despite it being so short. I met a few nice people and from there we hung out in a group chat writing fanfics and doing chat RPs. It's not often where I like something so much that I'll do actual fanart. Usually I stick to making OCs (which I also did!) Basche x Ashe were my fav because I am a sucker for the princess/Queen and Knight dynamic. I even had two pieces of mine feature in a magazine when I was in college!

CDN Art: 2021 and 2022

It's no surprise 2020 didn't get a folder with all that was going on that year. 2021 was just as bad since my mom passed and having to cope and adjust to it all. I only did one piece of art for CDN that year. Like, I did other art, as the rest of my gallery here can tell you but when it came to the forum I was fighting against the idea of quitting.
