Fulfilling a request from a Duke from this last month, in keeping with the old world order. Can't wait for April, I think things are going to go a lot smoother, and my Skyrim comic is going to start coming along much more quickly. The Duke actually just requested a Satyr girl who was part black ram, but I kept going wit the idea and made a Boon Satyr, a fun card from the Theros block of Magic the Gathering.

"Digital painting" (quote, unquote) is not really in my wheelhouse. I find it incredibly frustrating and bewildering watching a tutorial from someone like Sakimichan, who can construct a masterpiece in like three hours, while I'll spend five hours on something like this and it still looks like crap. I need to practice, but for now I'm sticking to the pedestrian cell shading thing I do.

Starting in April I'm restructuring in a way that should balance my time better, and still allow me to do 10-15 commissions a month and do my own stuff, but no more distractions.

So I guess Elspeth dies at the end of the Theros story line, but that fact that she's a planeswalker, and that Theros has a very porous afterlife I bet she'll come back. It would be cool if she came back as White/Black to match Athreos. The joke here is that Liliana gets a hold of Erebos's whip, and modifies it to bring back Elspeth as her personal sex-slave. I like the idea that Liliana can keep fucking Elspeth to death, and bring her back for more.

I guess I didn't get the expression exactly right. She should be a bit more wild looking. Anyway, Hister is a chaotic Minatuar mage (and maybe a goddess?) who uses such powerful magic that it sometimes destroys her body, and she has to pull herself back together, one atom at a time.

I spent WAY too long on this and now I'm off schedule for the next couple commissions. Worth it though. Nadia was created at the prompt of my longest (and maybe my first) client, and next to Mark I consider her my dearest character. For that reason, I think it was worth spending the extra time on her comic book debut. The result is still a little sloppy. I'm playing around with another style of coloring.
