January Sticker Sun's Avatar packs are shipped! They're on their way out to their respective people, which is always exciting for me and hopefully for those they're headed to.
I wanted to make a little announcement for those who aren't currently in the tier: we demo'd a small change this month. In addition to the usual three stickers, instead of just ANY tokens and doodles and extra goodies I let folks put in their own requests if they had them. and it was really quiet fun to do! So go...
So the make up stream went really well! Great numbers and some chatty new faces (kudos to Hawkfrost for the landing the ban blow on the one weirdo the mods had to ban lol)
Definitely something I could do again! I'm not sure about how often I'll be able to do them, but something I'd want to keep up with time permitting. I'll probably work out some system where folks can make suggestions or vote on what character or concept I do for any given stream. That sound fun?

The Bayo costume I ordered from Miccostumes got here! Impressed with the quality and the fit - I took a close up of the detail on the pleather, honestly a very pleasant suprrise. The "worst" portions are the gold/red details? Mostly just in so far that they're pretty basic foam with a gold paint/glittery combo and the glitter sort of gets everywhere? But it shouldn't be too hard at all to replace those with worbla or better foam ones that I can make in house.

Back from MFF and I've already got more stuff brewing in the lab (I'll post some WIP pictures later this week *EYES EMOJI*) but here's a quick few selfies from my various outfits and and the haul of stuff that I bought.
I already had a few people asking me what the dinosaur sweater looks like so I'll probably wear that on stream this week! I've also got a full tiktok video of me doing the Rouge make up, so that'll be posted this week too!
As of the new tradition (thanks to Scrapper Ferret) I'll be at Midwest Fur Fest again this year! Its such a well-run event and with one of my favorite dealer's rooms all year. Seriously if you like stickers and pins the furries just do it better than anyone else - and its not JUST furry art either. Tons of cool gothy, mushroom-core stuff and of course a bunch of inclusive and queer-positive stuff. I look forward to it every year.

Misato Wig updates! A very talented friend with all the REALLY good hair gadgets from their days as a stylist came over and helped me buff out the bangs all 90s style AND fit them to my head and my face (which is always nice since it'll never quite look the same on your wig has as a REAL head).

For THIS month we have some new stickers that you can pick up with art from Letsongakemi (aka Moyashi Mei) and a CLASSIC from Inklin Customs. Finally painted these wings that I made and primed a while back - sounds like we're shooting Sonic shit at Colossal (although I might use these for Morrigan shenanigans too, honestly, we love getting double the use of cosplay accessories).
These were primed with plastidip, then painted with acrylics mixed with flexbond to get the base purple and black layers down. I gave em some depth and character with a two-color overlay (one darker purple and one pink actually) by dry brushing on ad...

Decided to be Marceline! Highly recommend keeping a big had a fun sweater around for last-minute costumes I guess XD The fangs are the Scarecrow brand fans and I do really like them, you set them to your teet with this kind of dental putty/glue that sticks to the plastic of the fake tooth but not to your real ones and dries permanently into a cast of your tooth - so you can click them in and out really easily and they stay in pretty well! Its hard to talk with them and you can't obviously eat...

Progress WAS made on the Arwen dress, even though I've decided to wear Oko to Cubecon (so that I can be comfty and have pockets and actually play Magic way easier). The big train got patterned too but that whole thing is a project for another day.

MN renaissance faire was great! Highly recommend Shakopee if you're in the area, the worst thing in past years was the parking situation and it was VASTLY improved this year. Love it when a plan comes together. New Crown worked SO GOOD too. Highly recommend this method, I mostly used scraps of worbla left over from other projects too and then covered all the wonky bits of the finish with hot glue to give it that texture.

I re-did Oko's crown (with worbla properly instead of foam clay like the last one) and I'm gonna run around and be a chaos gremlin in Shakopee this weekend! We're gonna hang with Chase and Una and co so I'm sure there will be pictures and tiktoks and dumb records of our adventures.

Had a good like... 2 hour phone call with a friend and started packing for a convention a FULL FIVE DAYS early?! What? Incredible I know.
