I DO have more pictures from the weekend with Chase! I'll be going through, doing some light edits and updating the flickr galleries. Una's friend and regular photo guy SpicyDuke also got some shots and I'll be going through those when I get them as well.

Progress pictures will resume again as well! I've gotta do a deep clean and some organizing of my work space but I'm honestly looking forward to that. Its been a while coming XD THEN we'll have some projects to do! Woo!

I can't wait for the leaves to change so I can get more fall pictures. I've gotta figure out what kind of halloween-y costumes I want to wear... we're almost into Halloween party time!

Morrigan Ren Faire Adventures

MUCH fun was had! Much fun was had to the point that we are MAAAAYBE planning a trip up to the Shackopee Ren Faire in two weeks, if we don't Chase is gonna make sad faces at me until he gets to take pictures of Morrigan and I'd NEVER wanna dissapoint a friend XD (Nevermind that I want pictures too).

More Ren Faire Costume Updates

Some more cosplay tips from the Morrigan speed run.

Wing CONSTRUCTION is done, we're onto priming and painting now. As you can see they've got wire poking out of the bottom there, I'm already trying to figure out how I'm going to get them on my head/into the wig. I'm not sure if I'm going to plastidip them or flexbond them for priming... Either works? At this point they already look nice and smooth since I've hit them with a final heat treatment.

Ren Faire Costume Speed Run

I wanted to test out this wing pattern ANYWAY, so that was the partial impetus of the Ren Faire costume. I got the pattern for less than $5 from Arborealkey on Etsy - they've also got a lot of fabulous tutorials and videos and all around content on Youtube and Instagram, so check them out.

After making working through the pattern once I realized how much better I can make pair number two for later costume endeavors, of course. But these will work for the Ren faire! I've gotta figure out...

Ren Faire Plans!

We ARE planning on a Ren Faire trip this year, even though my summer has been really busy things are actually lightening up a lot now towards the end! I think we're going to try to make Bristol soon and maybe try to make a trip out to Shackopee in MN too sometime in September.

I have a new costume scheme that I'm going to try to throw together but in the meantime, here's the dumb shit we got up to last year. Bless Amanda for being such a great sport.

I was talking to Alex Kessler about One Piece Film Gold (the OP Hiest movie, highly recommend btw) and I was wondering where the other pictures of Baccarat ended up. I went fishing on Nude Carbon's archive sites and I found a bunch of the closer-up pictures that I haven't look at in a LONG time.

Not only is the posing kind of awkward but HOLY HELL what was I doing with that make up. Those eyebrows are atrocious and I don't know what I was trying to do with that very sub-par eye makeup...

Back from Gen Con! Safe-ish XD

Gen Con was an absolute blast but as many of you may have heard, I did catch the COVID. I don't feel great but I'm confident I'll heal up okay. I've got plenty of stories to tell and photos to share but I'm gonna take some time for some critical R&R with my dog for now.

CommandFest Orlando!

Orlando was... Surprisingly fun. I was a little worried about being in Florida in the summer BUT the hotel and the event space was all contained in the same place and that was absolutely clutch for me at least. It was great fun wearing Jhoira and Gallia again after a VERY long time. Jhoira I hadn't worn since maybe... 2018? And Gallia I wore at GP Reno RIGHT before the lockdowns.

Commandfest Orlando Line Up!

I'm not 100% which day is going to be which character, but here's who's coming with me. It depends on which day TarmoKat wants to be Nissa and then the Satyrs will be our comfty Sunday cosplays.

Home Sweet Home

Vacations are fun but travel is STRESSFUL and doubly so when traveling with family. I am so glad to be home. It was very hot and I think I learned the important lesson that I am just NOT a "sit in an all-inclusive resort and just relax" kind of person. Shocking no one.

Post Richmond Check-In

Command Fest Richmond Line Up!

I'll be at Command Fest Richmond next weekend... WOW, that came right up soon. I'll be spending my weekend getting wigs combed and costumes ironed I guess (just to have to re-iron them in the hotel room before I put them on, oh the joys of convention traveling). I had a BIG old day of filming yesterday and posted Miku on Twitter and IG today but I didn't share the other outfit that I did 👀 That video goes live tomorrow and I'm pretty proud of it honestly.

Spirit Halloween Hades Party

So... obviously ACen is a bust if any of you have been following the twitter drama. Sad and furiously annoying news coming off of a weekend that was wholly wonderful.
