Feels like I haven't draw anything besides comic panels since forever, so it's nice to get back into things. I'm currently waiting for my team to finish some last minute 3D models before I begin working on the next chapter.

Thank you all again for the amazing support! Since getting a Patreon the new chapters have been getting completed faster and faster. I'll be sending out the July rewards in the next day or two after Patreon has finished processing all the payments. 

I'll be working hard on the next chapter and new artwork, as well as making the newly voted on tutorials!

Finished a new Fisheye Placebo illustration :D I guess this image was so pent up in my head from not being able to draw for so long that I finished it in 2 hours lol.

I never mentioned it officially in the comic, but Frey is a Shakespeare fan. The words on his electric violin case is a quote from Macbeth.

Getting back in the flow

I've been away at AX for so long it felt like I forgot how to draw. Before I jump back into comic making, I decided to do a quick illustration of Frey to shift my mental state back into the Fisheye Placebo world. It's not finished yet (only one hour wip) but I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out so far :)

Just got back from Anime Expo!

It was amazing meeting so many Patrons in person at AX last weekend :D the con was crazy busy and I need a few days to recover from the madness. Sorry I haven't been active during July due to the con, but I'm reviving and ready to share more art!

I did another draw this again right before the con but forgot to share it here. The process video will be part of July rewards and I'll do my best to finish a new chapter of Fisheye Placebo now that I'm not busy preparing for AX anymore :)

Lots of stuff from June!

Hey everyone! Thank you all again for the amazing support over the last month :D There's been a lot of new paintings and videos for June that'll be sent out in the next few days :)

I realized that I had forgotten to make a tutorial poll for May, but seeing as how I spent most of May finishing the new chapter of Fisheye Placebo, I only had 2 other paintings done besides the comic. So I was thinking that for the next tutorial poll, I'll combine the paintings from May and June, and make tutorials...

Life's Journey - Video Tutorial

As promised, I'll be posting more tutorials more frequently and here's another one! :D I feel a bit more comfortable than last time with voice recording but it's still a challenge. Hopefully I'll get better and faster at this as I practice. If you have any suggestions or advice on how I can make better tutorials, please let me know!

This one is definitely going faster than my first one, but I still feel so awkward speaking into the mic. I guess I just have to stick it out until I get used to it...one day... 

Trying more pastel colors

 Been trying out more pastel colors and testing new brushes in photoshop instead of my usual Paint tool SAI. It's a bit hard to get used but hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon :)

Too much fun with toilets...

Here's a 3D render sneak peak of setting for the new Fisheye Placebo chapter!

For Vance's dorm, I designed 2 toilets for one bathroom. For Jen and Cocoa's art studio, I decided that there is no real bathroom, just a bunch of plants to block your junk from view. Also handy bamboo branches for holding those toilet paper XD

Darling in the Franxx fanart

I haven't done a fanart in a long time but I really enjoyed the ending drawings of Darling the in the Franxx (the show itself is super weird though lol). A lot of the ending theme shots had such beautiful composition I felt compelled to draw it too :)

Haha a lot has changed in a decade! Though the new one is just a speed paint so it could have been better. I cringe at my older drawings orz

Our Blue Planet Video Tutorial

The first video tutorial voted by Patrons is finally up! It's my first time making a video tutorial using voice over so please let me know how I can improve :)

I'm a bit behind on making the tutorials due to the challenges of being camera/mic shy, but it should get better and faster as I get more used to doing it.

Working on that tutorial

I used to make video tutorials with text at the bottom but a lot of people said it was hard to read the text while also looking at the video. I've been wanting to try out voice over tutorials for a long time, but I'm super camera shy which has made the process painfully slow. 

It's almost done and I'll be able to post it in the next day or two :) I hope with enough feedback and practice talking into the mic, I'll be able to make these much better and faster in the future.

WIP

I like to experiment with many styles and drawing techniques. As shown in my previous works, sometimes I paint everything from scratch, while other times I paint over 3D models depending on the style I'm going for or simply efficiency when it comes to comics. Less often I paint over photographs, but it's something I really enjoy as it brings a distinct style to the cityscapes.

Black Stars

Getting back into photostudies to practice :D This isn't exactly a study of any one photo but a bunch of different ones from google image as reference.

I feel like ever since I hurt my hand years ago, I haven't been drawing as much or only doing speed paints so my skill level has gone down. Now that I'm better I want to practice more and become better than even before my hand injury.

I finished another painting of Fantine and Lala from Dream Without Dream, a children's book that I'll be making in the future. This one is partially inspired by BBC's Blue Planet II documentaries. I've been watching them the past few days and I'm just so in love with the ocean <3
