The helmet is the final piece of the armour. I've added other elements to the armour but logistics of getting them in to render without having to spend hours decimating things is a bit too much to handle for a quick WIP update. Instead, here is the helmet.
Right now there will be 4 head options. Bald, standard with hair, helmet on with visor down and helmet on with visor up.

Quick update mostly focusing on a specific part this time. I'm having to work on this project in two different projects due to how heavy the armour meshes are causing instability in Zbrush so getting renders out is a bit of a chore. Figured I'd show the sword and scabbard that will be available as full scale 1:1 versions too.
Competition Update
With regard to the painting competition I've started to organise the entries and am in the process of making sure I've got names and ent...

Managed to get a fair amount done despite all the farting around with Itch and it being broken. Thanks to the detail in the armour I'm having to take a different approach to working on this one. My main sculpt is only using a lower resolution version of the armour due to how heavy the meshes are. Rendering is difficult too as I've had to decimate the armour pieces down and then import them separately from the rest of the model. It's going to be difficult to key this one but she's coming toget...

Started work on the armour for Cassandra over the last couple of days. Not much to say overall other than I am REALLY enjoying this and I'm glad I've got a 4K printer for this one.
The bit I'm not looking forward to is positioning all this armour along with a pose. With it being all metal I can't really cheat by flexing parts of it so I'm likely going to have to modify the original pose slightly if the armour would restrict the movement. It's going to be a new challenge for me to solve,...

Thank you so much! Entries for the painting competition are now closed and the response has been amazing.
I'm so proud to announce that a total of £480 has been raised for Direct Relief. I'll be tossing in an additional £20 to round it up to a nice neat £500. Thanks again for all of the donations an...

UPDATE: Seems the problem was on Itch's side. They pushed a fix and it appears the issue may well be resolved. Let me know if there are still issues and sorry for the inconvenience.
It has been brought to my attention that claiming the November release via the Itch.io links are giving errors along the line of . According to the forums on Itch it's a widespread issue with Patreon distribution. I don't know what's caused it. It could be a temporary glitch. Eith...

Madame Whiskey is officially finished. I spent an entire day breaking my brain trying to key the arms for the Tommy gun options due to the arms and the nsfw version being quite different from the standard ones but I got there in the end. Quite happy with the barrel and the base overall and I'm glad I managed to get the tommy gun option done.
A full release preview will be posted soon. Full release will include:
• 2 head options - bald and with hair.
• 4 hat options - bald, ...

So, she has a Tommy Gun option now :) Making the Tommy Gun work was a real pain. The stock and the location of the foregrip make it difficult to pose without moving the shoulders and shoulder blades so I opted to have her resting the Tommy gun on her thigh while holding a cigarette or a whiskey bottle. I also modified the ammo belt slightly, making it less bulky overall. I need to add detail to the alternate arms and then I can set about getting the rest finished. Need to work some more on he...

Not a huge amount to say on this update, just a quick one after blocking in the majority of the bits and pieces. Still need to add her jewellery and more sculptural detail to the face and upper torso and legs and I need to make the cloth sim dress usable in zbrush (likely going to be the most difficult part). Also going to be attempting to add the Tommy Gun version soon as I'd rather not have to make larger changes towards the end of the sculpt and I can get a sense of it's viable without hav...

So I've had my head down working hard on December's release for the past 4 days trying to get as much blocked in as I can as I am going to try and do a few variants of this model and I'll need as much time as I can get to make sure it all works (Tommy Gun option and of course a Christmas variant to name a couple).
Managed to get the shotgun done fairly quickly along with the basic body sculpt and pose. Got a barrel block in done this morning but by far the hardest part is th...

The painting competition is still going until the end of this month. Get your entries in before November 30th to win some awesome prizes including a 3D printer, resin, merchandise and STL files. The total is up to £285 raised for Direct Relief. It'd be awesome to cross the £300 mark.

Currently in the process of test printing and making sure everything works but so far results are good. Magda has been quite a smooth piece to work on, everything behaved itself and i'm quite happy that she's virtually seamless in the print and assembly too.
Release will include
• 2 head options - standard, bald
• 2 whip options - 1 is printed in separate pieces, the other allows you to use wire to make the whip as long and as fancy shaped as you like by printing multiple...

Not too far off now. Whip blade, base, hair tweaks and detail pass on the skin left to go then it'll be time to start decimating and chopping her up. Probably going to be experimenting with the whip blade some more in terms of physically printing it to make the wire fitment work properly. Currently there's a 1.2mm hole through the grip that should allow a 1mm wire to slide in but I may make it bigger to account for different resins and potentially thicker wire to be used. There will of ...

Happier with face now, the lips are reading better but still needs some more work. Hair is blocked in and now starting to add detail as I go throughout the clothing, experimenting with patterns and textures and seeing where I want to go with the surfaces. Magda feels a bit more "modern" than the other sisters so I'm trying to reflect that with more refined materials overall. Got more work to do on the boots, adding the heels, and generally progressing through wrinkles and the other fun stuff....

I would have loved to have posted some more WIPs but every time I've come to post something Patreon has been down or acting as if it's hosted on a Raspberry Pi like Thingiverse. Looks as though it's working today so I'm posting something a bit further along than normal.
It seems the more clothes a character has the easier they are to sculpt. Most of the clothing has been simple mesh extraction and some basic poly modelling. Got to add a few more elements but the basics are in place for ...

All I've got left to add are the shoes, the flame in the hand and some extra little decorative beads and buckles to some areas, and to the chainmail and then it's on to the fun stage of adding detail, refining wrinkles, adding texture etc etc. The flaming scimitar you see here is just one of four weapon options which include: straight blade, scimitar blade, and flaming options for each.

Quick update for you guys. Started adding in the smaller elements. She's almost totally blocked in, just got to add the hair and spend some time modelling out the sword and her finger armour things then it's all in on refinement and details. Managed to make some use of the new features of Zbrush 2021, but they're not as super helpful as I had hoped they would be. Thanks to those who stopped by the stream last night to witness just how crash happy Zbrush is :D

First off, yes, I'll be toning down the back muscles. I was enjoying them too much.
Pretty much just getting all the major forms blocked in. The anatomy was most of it, though I've not done much with the face yet. Largely got all the different elements in place and now I can go in and start refining things. Was hoping I'd find the new Zbrush cloth simulations more useful, but as it turns out they really aren't. Shame really, but I should be able to put the new nanomesh features to...

Hey guys, normally I would have had another set of WIPs before putting up a preview of the finished model but Mortaya has proved to be one the heaviest of my models to date in terms of polygon count and model pieces. She weighed in around 300 million polygons total with 155 pieces which made it extremely difficult and unpleasant to try and get nice renders, so I figured it'd be time better spent just working on her.
I've decimated the model down to around 38 million polys and 28 parts f...

Starting to come together nicely. Still got a few elements to get in, including her ponytail - I wanted to get that done last night before rendering but with the heat of the weather right now my brain wasn't up to the task. Still got to add her shoes and shin guards, a few accessories like banding on her other arm, her second belt, and the accessories around her neck.
I've done some experiments with wings but they're not going to work out - her pose isn't suited for them and lore-wise I...

Hey folks, hope you're all doing well. I've gotta admit that July has been a tough month running around putting out various fires and despite getting off to a fast start on Alara she ended up taking longer thanks to issues with printers and resin and a bunch of other non-related stuff that took up days of my time. With these issues taken care of I'm hoping I'll be able to stream more this month.
