I've gotta admit, this month has been a bit trying so far as I've been juggling fixing my old printer, calibrating my new one with new resins, and trying to get sculpting done in between fixing household and motorcycle related issues too. Slowly coming along. Weirdly the clothing has actually been quite difficult to get to sit properly. The cloth simulation didn't do a particularly great job and left a lot of clean up with topology really not best suited for the way it flowed so working it and improving it has been a pain. Getting the frill in place behind the head finally came together and will be an optional piece of the print. Hey guys. Been a little while since I did an update, mostly due to being busy. Maya is complete and I spent a while figuring out how best to go about modular parts for potential dioramas for those interested in such a thing. Pretty much done with blocking in elements. Just have the chains/ropes for her to hold onto to get done. After blocking in the frilly bits under her breasts it was decided they didn't really work, I wasn't a massive fan of them in the concept either. The idea was to mimic the frills of jellyfish to push the aquatic theme a bit further but it was at odds with the rest of the patterns and shapes. Hey guys, been a little while since I posted some progress so thought I'd drop a quick preview on here. The reason for a bit of silence has simply been that getting WIP renders done when you have a model of half a billion polygons is extremely difficult! She's getting there now. Added in the base work for the power arm, detailed the clothing. Just got to work on the shoes, hair, skin details, power arm details, weapons, holsters, goggles and the cat ears/tail. I think I should have time to be able to add another variation with fox ears and tail too, so stay tuned for that. I also added the choice of revolvers or folding hand crossbows too for those who'd prefer something a bit more fantasy grounded.

Finally finished blocking in all the major details with the exception of the hair, goggles and cat parts. Well, I have got the basics of the tail in to make sure the skirt works properly with it but it's not worth showing just yet. I can finally start doing some proper sculpting now and I'll likely be streaming the sculpting phase more regularly as it's the more interesting part to watch so keep an eye on your Twitch notifications or the Livestream channel on the Discord server.

I almost forgot I had this guy in the works. It's the bust form of a larger sculpt featuring "The Arbiter". It's still work in progress but I'll be doing a bit of streaming showing work on him. Not sure how popular this will be overall but another patron mentioned this on Discord. There are lot of complex patterns used on Katsumi so committing to painting them without having a sound strategy for dealing with them could be frustrating. I finally sorted out the UV mapping issue I was having with the lower half of the kimono giving me the ability to make up a tiling pattern of embroidery that wraps properly with the cloth of the kimono and the obi. I think it really brings the clothing to life.

Managed to get a fair bit done on the Twitch stream and carried on a little bit here and there. Changed the angle of the head slightly and I think I'm going to spend some time getting the face finished next. I've added a bunch of little charms featuring old Kanji symbols for protection on the hanging charms while the charm sewn into her armband is the Kanji symbols for "fighting strength" (or at least that's what the internet says).
