Birdy business

Do you follow bird drama? This is the best time of year to watch birds. Fighting over nesting spots, courting new lovers, a while ago we saw two bluetits doing a straight-up death spin while clawing at each other, almost hitting the ground!

The sneeze.

This, strangely enough, is based on a real incident. He sneezed so loudly that a video I was watching froze, twice in the same video.

A Buff Werewolf

When my drawing tablet broke, and I had to draw my comics by hand, a good friend of mine (who will remain anonymous because none of the titles he suggested for himself were according to good taste) did me a huge favour and coloured them digitally until I could get a new tablet, and the shift was absolutely seamless! When I asked him what he wanted as an expression of my gratitude, he jokingly suggested I should draw him a buff werewolf.

I forgot how much a stone is before I wrote it, apparently it’s 6 kg. I’m suspecting that any recipe that requires 6 kilos of anything is clearly unhinged in the first place.

Waking up

A good friend of mine offered to help me with colouring a few comics! I’m not sure how to credit him yet, or how to thank him properly, but we’ll figure it out.

Interlude

Unfortunately we’re back to hand-drawn comics for a while! I had a 2-week queue preserved, but it looks like the ”2-3 weeks” is going to be 3 weeks!

Meanwhile, I’ve been trying my hand at something else: script writing! As my first project, I’ve been writing a comic book adaption of the novel A Friend of Caesar - it’s definitely going to be a big one, and I don’t know where I’ll find an artist to work with me, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it!
