Discord server and community engagement

Hi Everyone. I'm keen to get the discord server for this community setup with more channels to make it easier for you guys to chat with me and each other and also suggest ideas and share your own work. It would be good to get an indication of who will use the server and what types of things you want to use it for so I've put a poll below, just select all the options that are applicable to you. Also feel free to comment below if you have further ideas.

What I've been working on, 8 March 2024

Hi Everyone, over the last week or so I've made a lot of progress on the monthly asset pack. This is now just about complete and should be out next week. I've also started working on some new assets to be added to the walls and castles pack and I should hopefully have these out some time this month as well.

Today I made a good start on the next community asset pack for March, I forgot that it was a leap year and today was actually the last day of Feb rather than the first day of March but regardless I've made some good progress as you can see above.

Hi Everyone.

Work on the city of the dead asset pack is proceeding well and should be done by the end of next week. Also look out for the poll for the next monthly asset pack around the end of next week as I'll be running it early to give me more flexibility in how I plan my time during the month.

February asset pack

Hi Everyone, here we are once again with the options for this months asset pack. From next month (March) I'm going to start trying to get this poll up a bit earlier so I can start on the asset pack at the beginning of the month rather than having to wait a week for the poll to complete so look out for that in the last week of February.

Concept assets for February asset pack

Here are some concept assets for two of the asset pack options for this month.

The first image shows a Mausoleum, some graveyard wall and gate sections and a necromancers tower. The type of assets that I'll produce if the Graveyard / City of the dead option is chosen

The second image shows the type of assets that I'll produce if the Orkish / Nomadic camp option is chosen.

I've had a bit of a go at making an underground Dwarven hold from some of the assets in the pack plus the cobblestone textures from the Patreon exclusive texture pack. I had a lot of fun putting this pack together, particularly the object source lighting you will see on some of the assets.

Hi Everyone.

This month and last month, I've been working on a double sized "Dwarven assets" pack which will go out to all the paid members and go up for sale at the end of this month.

The first image in this post shows a few concept assets I've been working on for potential future map packs. I will also be finishing off these assets and giving them out as a bonus to the paid members, I may also stick one of them up as a bonus for the free members as well.

Hi Everyone. I made some good progress on the Dwarven buildings asset pack yesterday. 

I've penciled in most of the assets now and also inked in a good number of them. I still have room on the sheet for two or three more assets on the "underground buildings" side of the page. I'm planning to do a market square area but let me know if there is anything else you would really like to see on this sheet.

Community update December 31st 2023

Hi everyone. As it's the last day of the year and as I've been a bit quiet this month I thought I would share this update.

I've had an extended break from work for the second half of this month as I had a Hernia repair surgery back on the 12th of December and I've been recovering from that. I've now pretty much fully recovered and I'm feeling good so expect to see more updates as I continue work on the Dwarven buildings asset pack next month, my one day a week childcare doesn't start up...

December / January asset pack poll

Hi guys, this vote will decide the theme of the double size, two month pack that I'll be doing over the months of December and January. The voting time will be a little shorter than usual as I want to be able to start work on this next Thursday, as that is the last day before Christmas when my usual childcare will be available. Work over December may be a bit sporadic as I'll be having an operation on December 12th and the recovery time is a couple of weeks.

Today I began work on the asset pack for the month, more industrial eras assets, focusing on city buildings and assets.

I still have some space on my sheet so I'll ask all of you, what else would you like to see on this asset sheet? I'm thinking more props would probably be best as only one building would fit in the space, so what props would you most like to see in this space? Fountains, trees, monuments, etc.

Today I've been working on additional textures for the patron exclusive texture pack, those of you with access to the pack should have already gotten an email about the updates.

I also filled in the extra space on my page with some additional cliff sections which have now been added to "Isometric asset pack 14, Wilderness Assets", these have also now been added to that pack and are available to all who own it. November asset pack theme

Hey guys, here are the options for this months asset pack. 

Looking forward to December, I'm planning on doing a two month double size pack like last year for the December / January period. We'll see how much work I get done in December as during that month I will be having a minor surgery which will have a few weeks recovery time. I'll also have disruption to childcare due to the holidays but I'll keep you guys updated as best I can.
