Argh, another delay

Well, this is embarrassing. So the theme for April's update was going to be enbies and masculine concubine options. The centerpiece being the big refactor to allow for they/them pronouns.

Skipping March

Yep, I'm pausing billing again. I guess I must be pretty run down because after taking a break, I went and got sick. Next month, then!

  • The enhanced lair descriptions are complete for all characters now.
  • A new piece of encounter music for glam-type characters.

  • Rewrote seduction text: When you use the seduce button during an encounter, the results are much more specific and descriptive. 5 times more variations and 12 times the word count.

Underworld Expeditions

Send your minions out to the bazaars of the underworld to gather new tomes and artifacts! Or skip a trip to the surface and go personally.

Up till now, tomes have arrived by random event. In the late game, I want to use the Schemes system to give players ways to actively seek them out. While I'm there I'll be tweaking the random events. I'll delete some annoying ones, adjust the activation criteria of others.

What's New: Sound Effects and Music!

  • 4 music tracks: a title theme, a lair theme, and 2 encounter tracks. Eventually I would like at least 5 different encounter tracks to suit the different character personalities, but this is just the first phase.

New for August, Fleshcult v1.20

New Feature - Improved Minion Descriptions:

  • The descriptions of minions now start off with a character-specific line saying what they're up to and how they're doing. The line varies depending on whether they're untransformed, partially transformed, or fully transformed.
  • About half of the characters have this filled in, the rest have a generic placeholder for now. Thanks go to Porpentine for writing these!

What would you most like to see more of?

How are you finding the balance of what I've been putting out? More of this, more of that?

To clarify, the side projects I've got in mind are almost all submissive-leaning, usually centering on body modification and dilemmas. Midjourney is a machine-learning art generator. It doesn't do nudity, but it could be useful for character portraits and backgrounds.

Hey all, it doesn't look like I'll have a May reward ready in time, so I'm going to turn off billing this month and push the build out to next month.

I spent the first part of the month doing preliminary design on what Fleshcult might look like with an overt main quest and some side quests. This month I'm working on multiple labs. Ever been annoyed that you can't queue up lots of beast transformations, like you can for concubines? Well now you'll be able to split your apprentices between multiple flesh looms to transform beasts in parallel.

I'm also gonna revisit how mutations from Narcissus work. At the moment it's a fixed probability per turn, which means you only tend to see them in the early game. I want to see late-game merged beasts with lots more weird details.

  • Vibrators: They're a bit of a booby trap at the moment. I'm working on making them removable. I'll rebalance them to be competitive with the rest of the tool belt items.

In the new year I'm going to take all the Patreon characters and tomes and move them into a new location. It'll be called The Pit: a dilapidated industrial zone where squatters, outlaws, and revolutionaries hang out.
