Model rebuilds!

Basically done: lopunny, elephant, pangolin, pikachu, latias.

To-do: braixen (probably tweaking the fur look a little, but not much else,) and the arcanine (some shenanigans with her hands and feet, mostly. I might tweak her body texture a little, too.)

Redoing their models and upgrading bits breaks their shape keys, but it means they can look better and I don't have to fight with some of the little issues they had from back when I first made their models.

Feels really awkward to leave this page untouched for too long. Yes, I know it's technically a tip jar and there's not actually a whole lot to post about, but it still feels kinda dirty. IDK, I guess I could always just slap thoughts down randomly?

Got the part!

Installed without a hitch, mostly. While installing one of the RAM sticks, one of the clips that hold them in broke off and I nearly had a heart attack, but it turns out the clip was from one of the unused slots on my board and that almost a decade of sitting there had begun to turn it brittle... I guess.
Anyway, it's pretty much guaranteed I'd never use the extra slots anyway, so it's not really much of a loss.

Installation aside, my computer's running fine so far, but I have yet to...

Purchased RAM sticks

A paired set of RAM sticks, total capacity 16 GB. 

Total cost was... 73ish USD, so I knocked $70 off the budget counter. Should be here in two days. After this, there's not really anything else I can do without upgrading the motherboard, so it'll be a lot of stockpiling and saving.

Anyway, the new RAM will allow me to edit videos easier (and layer more audio for complex sound effects without having to use Audacity beforehand) and prevent any more goofy computer shenanigans wh...

PC and Status Update

It's been a while, so here's a quick summary of life right now, on and off the internet.

Haven't really had anything important to say on here lately. Still on-and-off poking around for the best RAM sticks under budget that fit on my motherboard, but haven't decided on one specifically yet.

Eff yeah, rigging techniques

Trying to learn more about rigging characters so they can bend and move a little more freely. It's working pretty well so far (see that weird pic I made of Isabelle drinking while holding the cup with her feet!)
I've mostly been focusing on pelvis, hip and lower spine rigging so far, I'll play around with a few tutorials on shoulder and breast rigging soonish. I think character spines probably need the most work, though, right now I use "bendy bones" for the spine, but it doesn't play nice...

Changes!

I changed the goals and tiers up a bit.

I changed the overpriced tier to something a bit more valuable, since slapping your name on something isn't usually something you'd spend a goofy amount of money on, unless I was globally famous or something.

The goals were changed because:
1. I'm the caretaker for my Grandma (and to a lesser extent, my Grandpa), I can't guarantee any specific day will be 100% clear all day.
2. I'm already online for long periods of time on most days, ...

It's goofy, but I like it. I'm going to stick these on the hybrids for a long while. I haven't decided if I should make the names be written in different handwriting to make it look like they wrote their own names or not, though.

Upgrading the Lopunny model, needs a nickname:

I want to dig up some of the older models and upgrade them, then turn them into full-blown (ha) characters alongside the others. (Ninetales is still coming, but she's going to require a little extra work because I'm going to do something a little different with her.)

Oof, I like all the exercise from shoveling all this snow and lugging around a big bucket full of salt, but I'm wiped out, heh.
