Ah, December - that magical month where, between work and Christmas, I have no idea what I'll have time for...

While "Bustin' Loose" is essentially finished, there are a few follow-ups I'd like to draw.  One is a third page immediately following Daisy's hasty exit, focusing on the guys at the bar.  A potential fourth page could take place in the back office, where Daisy either puts on some fresh clothes or makes a makeshift top out of some aprons, while talking to another character. ...

So I don't know if I'd mentioned it here, but the last time I'd drawn Daisy nude might've been back in August.  That's too long for the twins to stay cooped up without disastrous consequences, so here we are!!

Now to see if I can't get these two pages inked & colored over the next few days...

After having two back-to-back contracts over the past month and a half, now it looks like I'll have the rest of the month off!  There's more work lined up, though, so I'd better take advantage of this lull while I can.  Mainly that means knocking out this 2-page (at least) comic!  In a change of pace from previous comics, I want to get both pages completely drawn before I inking.

Plans Derailed

GOOD NEWS - Word is that as soon as my current contract is completed, ANOTHER may be ready to start!  Not only that, but it will be a long one - 8-10 weeks!  Feels weird going several months without work, end then getting slammed at the end...

The bad news is that pretty much all of my plans have been shot right to hell.  With my free time now restricted to weekends, there simply won't be enough time for everything...

This weekend, I'd like to get the final Halloween page ...

I was hoping to have this done last night, but my tablet's battery didn't want to cooperate.  Now the question is whether I'll have time to get it inked & colored over the next couple days.

Checking In

First thing's first - my campaign & Discord server are now linked!  The Discord is still a work in progress, though.  The main things that need to be tested are the patron-specific channels, particularly for spoilers & suggestions.  To access patron-only channels, you'll need to connect to Discord account through your Patreon account settings.  Going forward, I may post these status updates in my announcements channel.

The good news is that the next comic page is mostly drawn!  There's just one more panel to go, but also a problem - where to put it.  It needs to go right in the middle, but getting it to actually fit is the trick.  Once that's all sorted out, I'll have to ink and color it when I can.  My goal is to have it done within the next week!

Back to work!  Considering my recent indecision on Candice's backstory and how it might affect the next comic chapter, right now I'm wondering if this vote will determine which idea I end up drawing, or which order I end up drawing ALL of them in!

Just messing around

So here's my latest stupid thing, to help get me back into a drawing mindset...

Basically if Rose can shrink down to Daisy's size, what if Daisy can also grow to Rose's size?  The catch - her breasts would grow proportionately, meaning they'd be even bigger!  Another possible catch - the growth trigger would be much more specific, making it less likely to happen at random.  

Another inspiration for this idea - I still have no idea what to do with my super-busty girl Mimi. ...

Mary's Monster Month reminder

After four days of park-hopping, my feet are aching.  Now I'll be recovering over the next couple days, and probably making friends with a bucket of ice.

In the meantime, the suggestion box for Mary's Monster Month has been open all week to the $5+ tiers!  So far there are only a couple of suggestions, so unless more are submitted in the next couple of days, I may either combine them or draw both, rather than put them to a vote.

Suggestion Box - Mary's Monster Month!

It's that time again!  Well, almost - October is Mary's Monster Month, and I'd like to hit the ground running.  So, let's try to have all suggestions in by Wednesday (9/27)!

The rules are simple - ideas should involve Mary-Anne (human or werewolf), monsters, or Halloween in general.  Squeezing Daisy and/or Monique into sexy costumes is also acceptable, as long as it fits the Halloween theme!

Hitting the Brakes

It's been a busy month, and it's not done yet!  Today I may stream my remaining commission work, because tonight my best friend and his son are flying in.  They've got a full week of activities planned, so I'm probably not getting anything else done.  Rather than stress out about that, I've decided to pause my campaign and make this a free month.

Starting October 1st, I'll need to get back to work, because October is Mary's Monster Month!  Hopefully my $5 patrons have some ...

Damage Assessment

I'm back home, and apart from a destroyed patio screen, it looks like most of my hurricane clean-up amounts to yard work.  Next weekend, my best friend and his son will be in town, and with any luck the area will be back to normal by then.  What's less certain is how much time I'll get to spend with them - word is I may have a contract as early next week.  It's not a done deal yet, and I paid work is paid work...  but still, the timing!

SPOILERS! The Kane family

So, one page of the next comic is currently in flux. This page centers around Mercy taking Candice down a few pegs. Layout-wise, the plan is to have four wide panels - the first three are from a side view, with the 'camera' pulling in closer as Mercy closes the distance between her and Candice. In the forth, Candice is wide-eyed & utterly shocked by what Mercy has said, and is standing in the center of the frame, with a fisheye-effect (that I don't know how I'll draw) showing costumers on...

Story Revisions

This week I've been reviewing my script for the next comic, and realized I'll need to make a decision soon on a potential change to Candice's backstory. It's not a drastic change, and it will only impact the dialogue on one page of this comic. Still, that dialogue is an exchange I've had in mind for a couple of years. The new dialogue doesn't feel as comfortable yet, and I'll probably be tweaking it right up until I post that finished page. ...and the frustrating thing is I can't fully expla...

The Aftermath

Some quick updates - thanks to the annual Autofest in Frankenmuth, Michigan, I managed to dodge Hurricane - now Tropical Storm - Irma.  Even still, the storm had weakened significantly by the time it reached my corner of Florida, and the last I'd heard the only significant damage to my place was to the patio screen.  Power in the area is also intermittent, but I'm sure it'll be fixed by the time I get home on Sunday.
