Art Tip: Easy vs Advanced Shading

Hi everyone,

Here's a little guide on what I would consider easy and advanced shading. Softening shadows can be diffifult for beginners and it is very easy to mess up. So I would recommend anyone just starting out with rendering too leave everything hard (level 1) since it's easy and a stylized look.  Once someone is more confident with softening edges, they will have an easier time going for a more realistic or painterly style.

1. POV Poste Handholding: For Valentine's Weekend comign up, I wanted a change of pace so I decided to do some cute and wholesome artwork for Poste. 1. Tsunade x Shizune Comic. I added more color and started  some rendering on some panels. I even added Shizune in the background. I think I'd like to try continuing this one for one more page with more lewd interactions, but it will likely have to wait until next week.

Art Tip: Solid Drawing

Happy Art Tip Tuesday everyone.

Here's an art tip for learning to draw figures more effectively: start by breaking down the figure as basic shapes, and then drawing the figure over it. This will help you draw a figure that feels solid and 3d, and helps with placing the details.

I use spheres for joints, cylinders for limbs, and cubes for the head, torso, and pelvis. The hands and feet can be more complex, but I keep them blocky so they are essentially cubes.

I got inspired to turn it into a short little interaction instead of a single artwork to make it more interesting.

Lewd Ivy Animation

Hi everyone,

Here's the finished Ivy animation. I used the same method as with the last Poste animation: base lines and colors done in Grease Pencil and lighting done in CSP. I also did a little post processing (or compositing) in blender to adjust some colors and add a bloom effect on the highlights.

I'm going to work on the artwork for this week and next week and try to find some time to start a new animation. I'm thinking of animating another twerking Poste, but maybe I'll come...
