The Uchiha Incident: Prologue

Taking the Chance

Another day, another sleepless night. With her back against the corner of her room, he sat there on the cold hard ground as she threw a small rubber ball against the wall. The rhythmic thump of the toy as it bounced around, ricocheting against her lumpy bed and the various scrolls scattered around proved almost therapeutic for her mind. It wasn't like she'd hit something of value inside her painfully bare room.

She should probably stop but it ...

Seoul Kitchen: Chapter 34

Meet the Neighbors

With pots of bubbling marina and fresh pasta cooking over the boiling water that was salty as the sea, Chef found himself once more locked in battle against the ravenous appetite of Night City. No matter how many he served, the line kept growing. As one customer left with their plate full of Spaghetti meatballs, two more took their place.

"Three orders and extra breadsticks!" An elderly gentleman shouted as the line shifted once more. It was ...

The Lawman: Chapter 1

Family Matters

As the Emperor's companion, Malcador had seen him take on countless roles throughout the ages. He had been a philosopher who inspired countless visionaries, a general to vast armies, a scientist who discovered wonders beyond comprehension, a ruler to long forgotten civilizations, and even a father as he was right now to his sons. Yet, as he watched his friend sitting there all petrified and confused, he realized that his friend had one role that he had y...

Chapter 4

The room lit up with a baleful crimson hue as Cici and the rest of the Irregulars opened fire. She could feel her longlas whining, it's barrel sizzling as she already pushed it with her makeshift cannon but she couldn't stop, not when faced with this demon. She knew her luck was horrible but she didn't know that it was bad enough that she'll face such a monster.

Clad in the defiled image of the Angel of the Emperor and just as every bit terrifying, the...

A Fox Asking For An Opinion

While chatting over coffee was relaxing, that wasn't why Kiwi came over. He still had an inbox that needed sorting and Kiwi had other things to do, job she needed done. Sitting by her side, he watched as the deluge of messages sorted itself out. Glancing to the edgerunner beside him as her eyes flashed with the streams of data, he was quickly reminded that she wasn't just a mere merc but a netrunner.

An Apology over Coffee

Returning to his shop, Chef would find a rather irate Kiwi waiting for him by her lonesome. He almost didn't recognize her as she was wearing a good of all things but he recognized that face mask anywhere. Glaring at him as he approached her, she muttered tiredly, "You're late."

"Yeah, sorry about that," He replied, wincing at the look she gave him. Looking at his clock, he told her, "I kinda got side tracked with some stuff," He really sh...

A Warboss's Retirement Plan: Chapter 12

The Sweetest of Lies

This does not make any sense, nothing here made sense. Magnsik knew he had ran away, that he had fled that faithful battle yet here he was, back in Ullanor where it all should have ended. He sat there in the same familiar throne his reign, his clutched upon a tankard of his favorite brew, while he listened to the reports of his generals. Why was he here?

Turning his gaze to the holographic display before him, he found himself staring at the...

July Polls 2024

June was a bit of a mess to be honest. The tooth extraction, the late start and then that little clog near the end. Really wish it could have been different but I just have to roll with the punches. Sorry about that. I'm still doing the second winner of the polls but yeah, a bit bummed that I'm only going to make one. Warboss is currently on the way. Will try to get it out before Sunday rolls around or I hope so. Anyways, on with the polls!

A Frog's Blessing in this Wonderful Galaxy: Chapter 7 Part 2

What's a Prince to a Frog?

Leading a revolution was far harder than Kermit had ever anticipated. He once thought it would simply be a matter of winning the war but as it turns out, it was only half the battle. Turns out, he also had to keep the various strong personalities from tearing each other apart as was the case with the two on his shoulder.

"Pizda!" Jaghatai shouted in anger as the man grabbed the Dhrukari by the scruff of her neck and threw he...

Quick Update and Apology

Sorry for the slow down in post. Just trying to get a chapter of a Frog's Blessing done but it's proving to be a painful process. Things aren't just gelling well in the writing ends of things. I had to scrap like 3 different versions of the start alone. Staring at a blank screen and the words just refusing to be written sucks balls.

There is progress but it's a snails pace and I hate how it's eating up so much time. I really want this to get done but its fighting me every step of the ...

With a cart full ingredients, Chef marched back to the alley to find the kid along with a dozen so with him. They were a motley bunch, mostly teens like the boy as well as one lone old man to with them. The fact that he wasn't getting shot was a good sign. He'd rather not have to get himself into a firefight because he thrusted the wrong kid.

Walking down the street, Chef found himself in a rather cheery mood. "It's a good day today, isn't it" He greeted only to be meet by foul scowls and dark muttering.

"Yeah… maybe not," He whispered disappointedly as he averted his gaze and moved on. Despite being here for close to a month now,...

Sleep for Kuina would prove illusive as things took a turn for the worse. Sweat poured down her forehead even as her teeth chattered against each other, threatening to shatter them while her body was shaking itself to pieces. Tossing and turning under cover, she couldn't decided if it was better to freeze to death or burn to ash as she felt her sickness ravage her form.

My New Reality

They say reality is stranger than fiction, that nothing that is ever written down or conjured by the human mind could ever compare to what life can throw at us mortals. Back when I was still older but none the wiser, I would have said otherwise; That fiction can overcome the strangeness of reality. However, as I sat there before the principal's desk while the woman read through my files, I made sure to sure avoid staring at the name and level hovering ov...

Wisdom Tooth Extraction Moved to June 1

Got to see a dentist this past Saturday, and I had to say they had the lightest hands out of all the Dentist I've been with. Considering they were my childhood dentist, that might explain my lack of fear with the tooth doctor.

Anyways, I got my tooth extraction scheduled so no going under just yet... later.

Cici was never really that much of a devout believer to the faith. Oh sure, she prayed to the emperor as much as any other guardsman but she may have only done so light heartedly. It was no foam bed but compared to what I've been sleeping on all this time, it was a far more luxurious fare.
