Happy new year Snow Tunnel game

Hi guys! I'm still hard at work trying to make a decent video, but I felt guilty that I haven't posted anything interesting in a while. I figured I would post a video showing off everything that is in the snow tunnel game (one of the game projects I quickly mentioned in my last video).

I mentioned in that video that I "dropped" this game so I could work on the mickey mouse game, and a lot of people felt compelled to tell me they would love to see more about this game and even see it fu...

No... Don't eat that

Hi friends, I know it's been a little bit but I'm here to say this might be the last post I do for a little while as I am now entering the video making/editing stage. There might be a little post before the next video comes out depending on how well I can focus on video crunch time 😂 If not, the next post you get from me here will be the finished YouTube video posted for you all to watch before it goes public, and a behind-the-scenes video containing some of my extra thoughts that didn't m...

Do you remember him?

Hi guys do you remember this NPC I drew up for the plains game a while back? He is found swinging on a swing and seems to have an abnormally long neck.

I talked about him in the last video discussing this game, and I only realized recently that it's about time he gets a dialog profile picture. I like how his picture makes him look kind and eager while also seeming unsettling. I believe part of that comes from his abnormally large mouth, but originally he had a more regular, straight-fac...

Momma's a better option

Alright friends here's my solution, if the worm is potentially too phallic for a YouTube thumbnail, and the mother is too boring, we'll get the middle ground between them. This was actually my own mother's idea interestingly enough. I was casually explaining to her the nuance of this particular dilemma one day, and she simply said, "Why not make the image a transition between the two?" Here we are. Maybe the worm image wouldn't cause any issue with YouTube? Maybe. However I feel like it would...

Mother Worm

Hey guys! I hope you all had a safe Halloween!

WARNING-

Guys I don't think what I have posted here is gross or actually NSFW (not safe for work/potentially sexual) but it kind of looks like it is NSFW. Kind of. What I have drawn looks quite similar to a particular body part. It is not a drawing of that body part, but at first glance it looks a lot like it.

I have also attached a third picture of a type of maggot on a clean black background- there is no gore or decomposing ma...

I want to pet dog

I haven't been able to make too much progress since the last update, but I did start adding in assets and started to flush out the animations for the little girl and the dog. This is not too far off of what the pervious version had in it, aside from the barking animation. I want the good dog to be able to bark at scary entities or things that might be "disturbing" to it. That mechanic still needs to be made.

I also re-added in the ability to pet the dog! (This was in the janky old versi...

I just whipped these up but I feel like I couldn't leave them out of the post 😬

The player will be able to... talk to them?

Probably.

Pet them?

Definitely.

New art for the cornfield game!

Hi guys, I've been working hard on piecing this cornfield game together! My focus so far has been on getting all the main mechanics for the game working before I start throwing in all the artwork, but I took a short break to add some more sprites for a new location on the cornfield map: a junkyard.

I could use some ideas for this location, so if you have anything that comes to mind please let me know, but my initial idea is that the player could come to the junkyard and swap out items,...

We need to do this again

Hi guys! I am so so happy that the Mudmyth Sound project is over, but I am also pleasantly surprised to see that the video for it is doing pretty well! Because of that, there is a chance I might make more content for it, but it's not likely.

It's finally time tor return to the other cooler projects, namely the unnamed little girl in the dead village game!

Unfortunately, everything I had made for that game (game mechanic wise) was in a very old version of Godot that is no longer ...

Interesting things that didn't make it

Here's the commentary video for the Steamboat Willy game (AKA the Mudmyth Sound). Hopefully this is enjoyable to watch/listen to, it is a bit long and is pretty dang raw as far as edited videos go. Let me know if you think this is interesting and I can make more of these!

stay cool guys, love ya

My friends I am surprised you are still here

Guys you are awesome and I love you. This video gets published tomorrow, Friday the 4th of October. I will make a commentary video about this video and post it only here for you guys to see, hopefully you enjoy it!

Ahhhhhh ship, here we go again

After the disaster of last time, you guys want to try playing that mickey mouse game again? 😬

I have been putting all my free time into finally getting a mostly non-broken game, and I swear it's a much more playable game this time haha. Go ahead and try it out guys! It should be the same process as before, follow the link below and it should lead you to a page where you can play the game in browser.

Maybe some NPC's?

I wanted to show you guys the npc's I decided to implement into the game. I did this because I felt the game was boring and a bit too linear. Along with npc's will come some small side quests of course, plus I wanted to add a sense of emptiness and mystery that would hopefully come after the npc's suddenly disappear... You'll see what I mean later 🤐

I've been working on this silly game that no one asked for day and night in every spare hour just to get it finished, and I'm going to g...

This is a big whoops

Well guys, turns out I gave you access to a broken version of the mickey mouse game that is pretty messed up. There were once multiple versions, and I gave you the wrong one and deleted the rest 😐 If I could I would quickly switch it out with a new not-so-broken version buuuuuuuutt the game is currently torn apart in order to fix some fundamentally broken aspects, so the messed version is the only playable version at the moment. Yay me.

Can you still play it? Ya. knock yourselves o...

YEEEEEEEEE can play this game

You guys can try out the game now!

If I understand correctly, you will be required to make an account with itch.io before you can play the game. Itch.io is a website that allows people to publish games, and because I have yet to graduate to publishing to on steam, so itch.io will have to do for now. Creating an account on itch.io is free and will allow you to play the game without downloading anything. I think you need to create an account first before trying to access the game? I don't...

Hey guys, quick note-

I just wanted to say thank you! You guys are really awesome and I appreciate the support so much!

I also want to apologize for not being the best at posting content, here or anywhere. I am finding out that I am more of a "big reveal" kind of guy, that I like to keep things a secret until the project is almost completely finished. But I don't think that's the right way to do it, at least not here.

I also want to keep from posting about things that aren't particularly interesting, ...

Do you want to playtest my games before I release them?

I am very close to finishing another small game, but one of the last steps that is very important to successful game creation is playtesting! Would any of you be interested?

So that we are on the same page, playtesting is where an audience is given a game (usually unfinished, although in this case the game will be mostly finished), and they are asked to play through it in order to give feedback on several different aspects of the game- such as which parts of the game were enjoyable, wh...

The regular trip down the river

At the start of this year there was quite a bit of interest in several older Disney animations entering the public domain, meaning they lost protection from copyright laws. The most popular of these now public animations is the "Steamboat Willie" animation, where an older style of Mickey mouse rides down a river in a steamboat.

Due to Disney's reluctance to lose their iconic main character (understandably), there are still some legal issues regarding using this piece of work, but ...

Adding a TF2 soldier to the Running of the Worm

At the end of my YouTube videos, I want to recognize people who are supporting me on higher levels with a short scene of patrons as avatars running from a giant worm. If you have seen my most recent video as of Nov 2023, you know how it works- a giant orange worm chases the avatars until they succumb to their innate weaknesses and are devoured or crushed- no survivors.

Here is a time-lapse of me making Stephon the soldier. He was super fun to make, and I hope that I get to add man...

The unfinished game of Steam Spunk

This is where the first tier rank name of "Steam Spunky" comes from! The idea for this 2D platformer was to make a speedrunning game based on a space exploring engineer who's steam locomotive was accidentally launched into space.

The player would collect coal throughout the levels and the coal would be used to increase your speed and allow the player to rocket upwards and forwards with steam powered jetpacks! The player would travel from planet to planet, exploring different envir...

I'm working on my 'draw something scary' abilities

I was thinking this might make a cool design for a sweater or a t-shirt. I think it turned out pretty good, although I think it would look better if it included more than just a face.

I really enjoy dealing with the horror genre, but this is a relatively recent interest. In the past I was always too scared to partake in any horror media, as a result many of the things that I come up with now are things that I think are scary but to many others are not scary at all.  Don't worry. I'...

Bug Game concept art

Here's a sprite sheet and concept layout for a possible scene in the Bug Game RPG.

Some of the artwork I absolutely love, such as the green knotted trunks of the thick trees, and the spearhead leaves of the willow like hanging branch vines. I wanted to give the impression that the land the characters were stranded in was more of a thick temperate forest rather than a tropical jungle.

You might be eying the crashed plane sprite and thinking it seems awfully similar to the crashed p...

Stranded in a world of intelligent insects, the Bug game RPG

A small group of passengers aboard a plane crash land in a strange part of the world they can't identify. This is made all the more horrifying when they discover the strange area is inhabited and ruled by intelligent giant insects! Solve puzzles, explore the thick jungle forests, meet and work with the friendly bugs of the land while fighting for survival against the hostile ones!

I am a big fan of most insects and other arthropod creatures, and I felt frustrated living in a world where...
