Rooted.

Of late, my pictures are becoming too god, I mean too refined, less spontaneous.
I don't feel it as a treason of my principles, just an evolution of my style.
But I also feel the need to connect with the roots of my project, the naive approach I was relying upon in the beginning.

Friday is dedicated to Hilary.

The new Mac broke the spell on Hilary's shooting and I finally managed to select 3 photos for my various necessities.

Light bender.

This is the third and last photo of the new model, at least for the moment.
I reckon you have made the acquaintance with Dottir in a proper way by now, so leave a comment to sum up your opinion about this nordic beauty.

In this picture I'm proud of having kept the contribution from the flashlight somewhat on the tasty side, by bouncing it off of a bed sheet, so as not to overpower the natural light coming from the window.

Hotel room studio.

Here is the second picture of Dottir, from our first ever shooting on Sunday the 21st.
She is another great addition to the Bramley Apple project, with a perfectly tuned body and a nordic complexion that I fell in love with.
Blue eyes and blond hair are both very attractive to me, have always been, I can't help it.
It is incredible what you can do in a cramped hotel room with a good model like her and, in the following weeks, expect more of her coming.

Dottir reminds me about an Australian surfer, though she is actually Danish, but she lives in Spain and loves to lie in the sun for hours.
Her tanned skin was something to behold and a thin blond hair is covering every inch of her body.
I love nordic blondes, and Dottir is really delivering.

Walking on leather.

I love how Stella is managing the sofa, like if she is walking normally.
This confidence in every situation is peculiar to great models, and she surely is one.

Modern society has declared war to hair of any kind, nowadays women have also creams that can get rid of any kind of hair everywhere on the body.

Humidity levels.

I have one more photo ready from this last shooting with Sugar, this was shot inside the kitchen, and she had to move slightly to her left, because of the sheer condensation trickling down the cooker hood.
We also had to mind our steps, because the floor was slippery from humidity, and she was feeling cold even with the hot weather outside, that's why she has goosebumps in most of the photos.

Simple ladies.

I'm lucky most of my models are pretty straightforward and easygoing modern girls, some have lots of tattoos, or piercings, but they tend to reflect how the younger generations of girls look like.
And this is particularly true for Cristiana when we met for the first time.

200 mm away from her.

I love to show you unusual aspects of my models, like the funny aspect of Professor Ania from yesterday, but today we get back to serious photography with a cheap, portable, but monumental lens for its results.
Nowadays you can buy this Nikon 200mm f4 AI-S for very little money, but it is capable of impressive results, and was integral part of the bag of every serious photographers just a few decades ago.
I had to stay very far from Ania to get her all inside the frame, and she couldn't...

Larger than life.

Meet professor Ania, that is going to explain the main functions of a female body.
We liked playing with this huge graffito because it is very rude, but well executed, so Ania used it to explain how to deal with female anatomy.
She is a great sport and enjoyed this game, I also proposed to make a short video, but she was not enthusiast at the idea, so we stuck with the photos (I don't want to force her to do anything she doesn't want to do).

I did manage to get my shooting with Ania also in 2024, at least one!
Trains were problematic, so I went near Milano to get her, but everything else went well.
My wife was watching over our safety, but she saw only one man during the 2,5 hours, and he was trying to hide from us, rather than the other way round...

Live trying.

I love to experiment, especially when I am shooting in desolate places with plenty of inspirations.
With £lisandra we tried a horror movie take upon the concept of nudity, and it didn't have much success with my followers, albeit I'm still happy for having tried!

Today I'm shooting with Ania in the abandoned factory in Carvico, and I want to explore a new idea, more ironic, and I think she's going to be willing to try this stunt with me, and capable of inserting her own twist...

Poses don't always need to be spectacular and majestic, sometimes the most humble poses are the most effective, the girls are looking vulnerable, but more enchanting for this reason.

Back to the Lumix S1.

My main concern is for the safety of the models, as I was saying yesterday, but another concern is for the equipment.
In risky situations I tend to prefer less expensive lenses, the ones easily replaceable, but I still tend to use the Leica SL2-S which is one of my most expensive cameras.
When one of my colleagues was teasing me that the girl would be safe but I would have my gear stolen, I started thinking that I do have another camera to use in risky situations, and the new version of...

Great news!!!

Yesterday I was contacted by Ania about our shooting on July, I admit I was resigned by now, but we scheduled one for next Sunday, the 14th.
We are going to use the abandoned factory I used with Sugar last year, I checked it yesterday in the evening and it is still accessible, and I will probably take with me also my wife as bodyguard, because I can still see signs of people sleeping there at night.
I'm sure most of my friends and colleagues would happily help me out in this predicamen...

On the balcony.

Strangely enough, I booked a 70€ upgraded room in the Dayuse hotel (from 10:00 to 18:00), but they gave me the basic 60€ room instead, because I had express the preference for having a balcony.
Last time, Hilary refused to go on the balcony, she told me she only shoots indoor, but this time I managed to have fun shooting on the balcony with Elfa, and being on the last floor of a tall building, there was nobody looking at us.

Second try with Elfa and first with Lightroom Classic.

Well, last night I had more problems with the new version of Lightroom, and I wasted plenty of time...
At least I managed to extract my first 2 images with the updated software and on the new Mac, one photo for Patreon and one photo for my regular social media feed.
But tomorrow I will try again to find some really deserving pictures of this new beauty!
I hope to learn quickly how to maximise the new software on the new Mac, at least I have an excuse to use both as much as possible i...

Meet Elfa, the brand new model from yesterday's shooting in Milano.

Busy period also at work July, we're doing 9 hours work every day (wake up call at 5 AM) and 4 on Saturday morning.

Out of the ordinary.

Normal things are usually the most boring.
Maybe cheap, functional, even reliable, but boring nevertheless.
Whilst unusual things are always challenging and frequently extreme.

The Caterham Seven is an example of something full of issues, that you end up using rarely, but that becomes irreplaceable when you are in the right mood.

Sunny skin landscape.

How the skin of Sugar plays with the sun light is something to behold, but she can still get burned and peal like any other human being, check the tip of her shoulder in this photo.
I love the details on the nipple in focus, and how darker it is compared with the rest of the body.

I took this photo whilst she was warming up in the sun during our last shooting, because the abandoned restaurant was pretty cold and damp in the inside, so much so that some room had a sort of fog inside, ...

Mac transition.

In this period I'm updating my 2018 Mac Book Pro, because has developed some serious issues, with the battery (already the second installed), and the general state of fatigue...
But the upgrade to the new M3 chip machine is not a straightforward procedure, and some things are not willing to move.
Lightroom is one of these things, and I had to buy a newer version, compatible with the Sonoma MacOS software, but installation doesn't seem to be working...

Safe walkways.

This mansion was crumbling down, but it had some walkways that were made viable.
I was sad not being able to go also last Saturday with Sugar, but these abandoned places are living a delicate balance, and it was no longer available.
And even the restaurant I finally used with Sugar just few days ago, now appears to be shut down and may not be available in the future.
Opportunities are limited and I have to jump on them when I still can, it is just like with the models, it is useless ...

Usually the pitchfork is associated with the devil, albeit the one he has is with 3 point and not 4, but it is difficult to think about such a nice young lady as Anneth as a demon...

Unusual props are useful to create these kind of cognitive short circuits, and give a whole new meaning to sexy pictures.

The missing cat.

Hope you can see enough of it in this portrait of Martina, but the special homeware I was referring to on yesterday post, was a cat climbing frame, a complex furry vertical playground for feline, and I was referring to it as out of context because there was no cat to be seen in this apartment!
