After having used the Leica M240 for many years now, I'm slightly afraid of it.
Having used mostly mirrorless cameras lately, I learned to rely on electronic viewfinders to assess the compositions with great precision.
The Leica M, especially when I get closer to the model, is not exactly reliable, and I tend to cut out important part of the bodies.
On the other hand, I was using the Leica M with Sugar in this occasion, and I got some outstanding images, so I might be exaggerating...

Happy to report that also Rabbit has reached the Archives stage with our first shooting together, the one from April 2023 in Merate.
This was one of the shootings stuck inside my old 2013 MacBookPro, that risked getting lost when the laptop was refusing to charge.
The problem is now solved and the computer is working fine, but I'm still trying to finish retouching the shooting inside it with the very old version of Photoshop, which was part of my previous workflow.

The inherent elegance of Karina is reflected also in every single gesture, and this pose is particularly graceful.

July 2022, with Martina in Milano, on a closed balcony made even more hot by the air conditioner machine.

I was not planning to change the background as they do on TV, to make Mary stand out from a fancy landscape added in post, because she doesn't need special effects to grab our attention.
Green is just a nice color to complement her nice skin tone, and highlight the contour of her breast.

When models decide to abandon the project and have the photos removed, we're losing them, but also the unique locations we worked in.
The apartment of Shinrin was nothing special, so it was not a great loss.
But in the case of this abandoned mansion, or the boiler factory, losing the model is going to be a big loss also in terms of not having any other chance to go back there in the future.

I managed to get this new model out of my mind to concentrate on Elfa just 4 days later, but now I can finally go back to her, to realize what a good job we did together.
Today's shot was shot on the Leica SL2-S + the inexpensive Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7, closed at f2.8, my favorite aperture with most lenses for portraits and nudes.

This Hotel from DayUse website in the center of Milan (near Central Station) was pretty lame, small, with humidity on the walls, peeling upholstery, and sounds of people fucking in the adjacent room.

This is a play on words only Italians are going to understand, it is a mixture of "perizoma", which is the Italian word for thong; and "pelo", which is hair.
My models are required to be fully nude, and only few exceptions have ever appeared in my project, but I never complain when they are wearing a thick bush acting as a pair of panties, because I find it a natural censorship to nudity.

I met with Georgia in an interesting apartment, because I love dark green, and I love wood.

And this was the Leica SL2-S in May 2022, with the 2 Summicron-M lenses I have, the 50mm and 90mm, not sure which I used here... probably the 50mm.
One thing is for sure, the models understand that you are using something special when brandish a Leica, and Sophy was impressed and inspired by it, as I was myself by her.

February 2021, still with the Panasonic Lumix S1, which was working very well!
Soon after the Leica SL2-S arrived, and it was a disappointment to use for 2 huge issues, and a pleasure at the same time for the quality construction and the even better electronic viewfinder.

Ania in Consonno felt so natural and at home, even if she was not wearing anything.
It was a rare privilege to witness such a natural state in a beautiful young girl for the very first time, because in the previous shooting we were in the house of Merate, between ourselves, but here we were surrounded by people, and few of them got to see her, but she was not concerned in the least.

Dottir has been a fantastic model, and for our first shooting she was at her best, beautifully tanned and in great shape.
I've seen some older photos of her, and I can tell you I must have known her in her best moment, when she looked like a goddess.

Light is magic, and when they tell you it is the most important element to make a photo, it is more true than you think.
