The Lion Cub Chapter 49: Fleur-de-lis

XXXXXXXX-Lemon scene (available in discord channel for patrons)-XXXXXXX

Voldemort kept a strong grip over his right hand which was once again acting up with spontaneous tremors. At first, he had assumed it was the aftereffects of his resurgent magic and soul settling into his newly furnished body. But he no longer thought this to be the case.

‘Something must have gone wrong with the ritual. That blasted boy must have done something or that bumbling moron W...

Vex Chapter 36: Archangel P2

The life support systems randomly flare up in warning whenever Jane’s physical faculties plunged. 24 hours have passed after Jane suffered a critical injury. In so far, she has yet to recover from the wound despite Cerion’s best efforts. He would have used the White Light to heal Jane but he was dissuaded by the Ancient One.

“You must be patient Cerion. If Mephisto wanted her dead she would have died already. He was expecting you’d use your power to heal her and use her as a c...

The Lion Cub Chapter 48: The aftermath P2

Dumbledore was troubled. The events of last night weighed heavily on his mind. Not to mention the information he extracted from Barty Crouch Jr did not sit well with him at all.

Now, wasn’t that a blow to his ego, finding a long-thought-dead death eater impersonating his old friend Alastor right under his nose? This incident was proof that he was slipping up in his old age. Oh, he had no notion that he was an infallible wizard despite his immediate friends thinking as such. Though e...

Do you prefere a timeskip?

In the story Dragonlord, do you prefer a time skip towards the canon events? Or do you want a natural progression of events towards the canon events which starts at Jon Arryn's death.

Dragonlord Chapter 42: The undying star

White Harbor was the sole city in the North which also made it the largest settlement in the North. It was also home to the largest fleet in the North. The shores of White Harbour were the domain of seagulls. They outnumbered the ships and boats of the city three to one. He breathed in the salty scent of the beach as well as the steady hymn of crashing waves.

Harry planted his feet firmly on the sand as a wave of seawater soaked his feet. When the seawater receded the sand was filled ...

Dragonlord Chapter 41: The mysteries of Astronomy tower

“Have you taken leave of your senses uncle?” Mace asked incredulously.

“Oh, I'm quite sure my mind is as sharp as ever nephew.” Maester Gormon replied.

For once, Oleanna was on her son's side. It was ridiculous to take Maester Gormon seriously when he comes with tales of flying ships and far-eyes that can see worlds far away in the sky. Surely, the ageing uncle of her son has gone senile for believing the fanciful tales spun by Winterfell's maester. There was no other r...

Which House should take over Highgarden?

I think it's relatively obvious that Daeron intends to displace House Tyrell from Highgarden. There is no other way around it as the Reach is too powerful when united and the present generation of House Tyrell is far too connected with many of the stronger Houses in the Reach.

One of the many ideas I have been juggling around in my head was partitioning the Reach but I noticed that plan would actually strengthen the Hightowers. So, I'm going for annexing some land from the Reach i...

Daeron the Worthy Chapter 41: The fall of King's Landing

Tyrion could see why Varys was right to caution him about underestimating Jon Snow. The bastard boy he had travelled with from Winterfell to the Wall was not the person standing before him. Jon Snow was a boy adrift in the world unsure of his place which made the bastard of Winterfell somewhat gullible and easy to predict. He could read the boy like an open book with one look.

But, right now his mind was struggling to understand the mystery standing before him and the Queen's army.

Dragonlord Chapter 40: The magical magnifier

The magical fire burned brightly increasing the intensity of heat, reflecting his will. Harry stood over the melting pot where his refining charms were doing their work by removing all impurities from the molten glass. It took him only some ten minutes to finally pull off what he was hoping to build. Harry carefully lowered the glass piece into the equipment and sealed it under several layers of protective charms. After making sure all the charms were binding properly, he activated the runes ...

Dragonlord Chapter 39: Secret plans

He hadn’t planned on coming clean with his suspicions about Jon's parentage to his lord father this early. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing and he counted his lucky stars he had the presence of mind to do so. Because his father planned to have Jon shipped off to the Gift and take up the lordship of one of the castles with uncle Benjen as the regent. Harry's warning about the White Walkers and the army of the dead along with Jon's status as the prophesied Prince has made his father reconsid...

The Lion Cub Chapter 47: The aftermath P1

A plethora of colours invaded his eyes bending and twisting in odd angles. He felt himself getting squeezed through a thin tube for a moment before the ‘tube' began to gradually expand. Harry felt able to breathe and some motor functions returned to his body. His feet touched the ground and the portal that brought him back to Hogwarts grounds collapsed in on itself in a swish. He stumbled forward but managed to hold onto the cup and stay on his legs.

“Harry!”

He distantly ...

The Lion Cub Chapter 46: The graveyard goes kaboom! P2

Voldemort breathed in the fresh air enjoying the cool air circulating through his nose to his lines. He did so in a manner without sacrificing his equanimity. It wouldn’t do if he behaved like some muggle barbarian. He was Lord Voldemort, the greatest sorcerer the world has ever seen. He was the one who defeated death itself and now he was back to reclaim his position in the world.

Reaching out with his chalk-white hands, he touched his head. There was not a strand of hair standing ...

Dragonlord Chapter 38: A prince of ice and fire

Harry looked into the crib seeing the sleeping face of his little sister. She was cute as a button which explained why he got the sudden urge to lightly pinch his little sister's cheek. He was careful to not wake her though. With all the bustling activity within the walls of Winterfell, it was a miracle that his sister managed to put in a few hours of sleep. So, he was not going to disturb her especially when that'd be detrimental for his mother as well who looked like she could use some slee...

Pick your pairing for Robb Stark in the story Dragonlord.

Robb is the heir to Winterfell. Currently, Tywin has plans to bind House Stark to House Lannister through his grandchildren. He is eyeing Harrion but Robb is also an attractive prospect as House Stark will now inevitably accumulate huge wealth.

I'll do a poll on pairing with Harrion but I'm still waiting for the story to move forward a bit more.

Dragonlord Chapter 37: Valkyrie

Winterfell was bustling with activity. All the lords of the North were gathered at the ancient seat of the Starks. There was a small celebratory atmosphere as well as some lordly business as usual.

“The lords seem happy as does the Smallfolk.” said Domeric, observing the bustling settlement of Wintertown.

“Pah! The lords of the North are simpletons. They'd go crawling into Stark's bosom like needy whelps.” said Barbrey Dustin, waving her hand dismissively.

What should be the role of the Unsullied in the future?

Unsullied are nearly 7000 strong. They are very good foot soldiers. Some might even say they are the best. So, their training and cohesion could be passed down to Westerosi armies in the future. So, some would retire and become trainers for the Westerosi armies. However, there are a lot of Unsullied soldiers with nothing else to do.

What would you prefer for their role in the future?

The Lion Cub Chapter 45: The graveyard goes kaboom! P1

Harry slammed into the ground forcing him to roll on his back to arrest the momentum. His head spun for a moment but he had the presence of mind to stick to the plan. He immediately dropped his Holly wand beside his leg on the soft grass before covertly taking out the second-hand wand he nicked from the Room of Requirement. It was a shoddy wand with a brown surface completely alien to his magical senses. He doubted he could produce even sparks using this piece of wood.

The immediate s...

Daeron the Worthy Chapter 40: Northern Justice

There was a reason why everyone agreed the Queen should focus her dragons on the Dragon gate. The might of her dragons was not to be considered a simple matter. Dragons could wreck the city walls easily enough. Their flames were potent enough to melt stone and steel. However, the fragile nature of the capital city was a cause for concern. The city has already seen a burning at the hands of Cersei Lannister. If Queen Daenerys were to use her dragons it should be somewhere remote.

Dragonlord Chapter 36: The auction

The Free City of Braavos was sprawled over many islands making it difficult to pinpoint the ‘city'. The other Free Cities were not like that. They were built in one location and guarded by high walls making them a proper city. Perhaps, Volantis could be an exception. The First Daughter was built at the mouth of Mother Rhoyne on either side of the river. The two halves of the city were connected by a long bridge across the river.

But, the First Daughter won’t come close to the size...

The Lion Cub Chapter 44: The Third Task P2

Harry looked at the series of thick hedges before him provided by the Room of Requirement. Unlike the hedges grown on the Quidditch pitch, these hedges merely functioned as hurdles. Taking a deep breath, Harry surged forward into a sprint. He began jumping over the hedges and sometimes he took sharp turns along the way by running around the obstacles. The ground was also not favourable to his practice run. It was muddy but the friction charms he used on the shoes were working perfectly. So fa...

Harry's footsteps echoed throughout the vacant corridors of Hogwarts as he made his way towards Dumbledore's office. Most of the hallways should have been bustling with students but they remained vacant. The upperclassmen were busy with their NEWTs and OWLs while the rest were tackling the end of the year exams. While the exams gave him more time for training there was a disadvantage. His free movement inside Hogwarts was affected because of the lack of students. Earlier with a lot of student...

Dragonlord Chapter 35: The protector of Skane

The golden rays of sunlight shined warmth on his skin. It was quite enjoyable, all things considered. Not to mention this morning was quite special. A steaming cup of coffee was in Harry's hand and he enjoyed the bitter taste this particular delicacy provided for his system. It took quite a bit of tweaking with his magic to prepare the coffee powder. But, the abundant magic offered by Skane made it easy to shape his spells to his whims. Here, supported by the strongest magical ley lines he ha...

The cold embrace of night blanketed the land like a veil. The silence of the night smothered the land and forced it into a peaceful slumber. As far as Daven was concerned, only the gentle sound of the stream of Blackwater Rush prevailed. The secret bridge across the river was too small for their supplies to get across. This left them in a bit of a pickle. Despite having the advantage of secure food stores owing to the support of the Reach, the Lannister army under his command was cut off from...

The silence in the Chamber was deafening. To ensure nothing goes amiss, Harry had even relocated Buckbeak. Sirius was only too happy to host Buckbeak in Grimmauld Place. In fact, Buckbeak was offered permanent resident status in the Black Manor thanks to being instrumental in Sirius' escape from Hogwarts.

For the last two weeks, Harry has been preparing the Chamber for what he considered a bold move against Voldemort. He had gone over and over in his mind the pros and cons of this pree...

Do you want dragon eggs to hatch after the Red Comet's arrival?

In the story Dragonlord, Harry has recovered an ice dragon egg. The awakening of dragons is supposed to tie in with the arrival of the Red Comet. But, Harry is magically capable of awakening the dragons instead of waiting for the magical resurgence induced by the Red Comet.

So, vote yes if you don't want an early intro to dragons. Vote no if you want Harry to introduce dragons early in the game.

The morning sun was bright and the skies were no longer covered under dark clouds. The weather on the island seems to have arrived at something approaching normalcy. Harry wouldn’t have appreciated walking in the rain anymore. The storm must have weakened which was good news as their return to the mainland would be smooth.

But, before he could return home there was a small bit of favour he had to do for the ice dragon. It was a last wish of sorts for the old dragon a...

Bruce had undergone extensive training at the sanctum under the direct tutelage of the Ancient One. Whatever she deemed necessary, he learned. It was still a work in progress but he was having some significant improvement on his learning curve considering the complexity of the Sanskrit language.
