Monthly Sketch Stuff

So I've got some stuff to go over regarding the monthly poll. First, although anyone with access to the polls can already see, I want to officially announce the winners- Mini-Monster Mayhem in the "80's" Supporter poll and Atom Eve in the "Redheads" Secret Stash poll. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Unfortunately, that does lead into some slightly bad news- the drawings will be a little bit late. I have a convention on the 2...

TMNT sketches

Hey, all. Going to have a more official post later today, but I'm currently stuck at the day job so enjoy this "I don't feel like being here today" sketch of Ralph and Leo from TMNT.

Squirrel Girl

I'm trying to stop Thanos, but I'm dummy thicc and the clap from my ass cheeks keeps activating the infinity stones!

Squirrel Girl is one of my top comic book crushes, so when I had a little free time between projects the other day and because my birthday was coming up, I decided to draw this rather... cheeky take on one of my favorite characters.

Level Up!

This has been a pretty wild year with some amazing highs and some rough lows, and I can't wait to see what 34 brings me. Thank you for sticking with me through it all!

June Sketch Suggestions

It's June, so that means it's time to start taking suggestions for the June sketch. This month's theme: It's the 80's! See, June is my birthday month, and since I was born in '85, I figured it would be fun to pay tribute to the absolute mountain of pop-culture to come out that decade. The possibilities are nearly endless, so be sure to get your ideas in soon!

IMxMM Alt Version

*sigh* I wish Patreon allowed me to post multiple pictures in one post.

Anyway, here's an alternate version of the Iron Man x  Madame Masque with some text lifted from the first Iron Man movie that I thought seemed appropriate.

May Secret Stash Poll Winner: Iron Man x Madame Masque

His armor isn't the only thing hard as iron! Hay-ooooo!

But, seriously, lewdness aside, I'm oddly proud of two things about this picture - my modernized take on Iron Man's 70's style armor and the fact that I was able to give a character wearing a full face mask an ahegao face.

May Poll Winner: Ryuk

I'd never watched Death Note before starting work on this, but I'd seen this guy around and was pretty excited for the chance to take a crack at drawing him. He turned out to be a lot of fun. Oh, and I started watching Death Note, too, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I had some doubts going in. I had kinda gotten a bit of a "edge-lord teenage boy trying to be deep" vibe from the show in the past (kinda along the lines of how I felt about Devilman Crybaby, if you've ever heard me talk about...

Godzilla Sketch Card

Hey, everybody. Sorry I haven't posted a whole lot this month. Going to see if I can't make up for it here in the final week with a few sketches and whatnot. Also, the monthly sketches are on their way and should be here on time. I'm pretty happy with how they're coming along so far, and I think you'll find them to be worth the wait.

Anyway, for now at least, here's a Godzilla sketch card I did tonight while hanging out with a few other local artist. This one was a lot of fun to d...

May Poll: DEATH!

Seasons don't fear the Reaper, and neither should you because it's this month's theme! We can be like they are by voting for your favorite incarnation of Death below. Something something needs more cowbell!

April Secret Stash Poll Winner: Ygritte

Hey, everybody! Sorry this one is a couple days late. The Tormund picture sort of blew up bigger than I expected and then I had Gem City Comic Con last weekend. But, finally, here's everybody's favorite wildling woman kissed by fire, Ygritte.

Not going to lie, I kinda want this airbrushed onto the side of a van.

May Sketch Suggestions!

It's time for me to start taking suggestions for the monthly sketch poll. This month's theme is...

DEATH! - Between Game of Thrones and Avengers Endgame, death in  pop culture has been on a lot of people's minds as of late. So for May I  thought it would be interesting to draw a character associated with  death, be they dead, dead and returned, or even death itself  personified. Heck, maybe they just have dead or death or whatever in  their name...

Game of Thrones Bonus Sketch

Hey, Secret Stashers! Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule, the April Secret Stash poll winner,  Ygritte , is going to be a few days late. Sorry about that. For what it's worth, I think the sketch is looking pretty good so far and I think it'll be worth the extra wait.

Still, I'd hate to leave you guys with nothing, so in the meantime, here's a little sketch card I did of Margaery Tyrell. Since I didn't have any Stash backers at the time the April poll was ending, I basical...

April Poll Winner: Tormund Giantsbane!

Go get 'em, Tormund! Fight like the big lady is watching!

Boy did I get a bit carried away with this one. I just couldn't stop myself, though. Tormund is one of my favorite GoT characters, and turns out drawing big viking-ish warrior dudes hacking away at ice zombies is a LOT of fun. Who knew?

Miyamoto Usagi

It's a bit of a stretch, eh? Hey, it's Easter, he's a rabbit. It totally works, man!

Seriously, I have to admit, I know little about Usagi. I think he crossed over with the Ninja Turtles a few times when I was a kid, but that's about it for my exposure to him. Yet he's somehow become a character I love to draw. Something about a samurai bunny just appeals directly to my sensibilities. One day I'll have to check out some of his comics.

Jessica Rabbit's Easter Surprise

I didn't even realize until I was half done with this thing that this is my second picture in just a couple weeks of an anthropomorphic animal character peeping on a (semi)nude woman. I don't know if I should avoid doing it again or really turn into the skid and make it a theme for a series. lol

On a personal note, I never really bought into the Easter Bunny as a kid. Like, Santa I totally believed in, the Tooth Fairy was kinda iffy and short lived but still happened, but the East...

Brak!

When I was taking suggestions for the March "Prelude to Patreon" poll, my good buddy John Waller Sewell suggested Brak. Now, I really liked "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast" as a kid and I loooved "Cartoon Planet" (I even owned the two CDs they put out, "Musical Bar-B-Q" and "Surf & Turf"), so the idea got to skip the entire poll and go straight to my personal to-do list. I really like how this one turned out. I know it's been a bit of a trend for me lately, but this one is DEFINITELY going o...

Space Bettie

So a little while back, I designed a poster for the "Cleveland ConCoction" sci-fi convention. I ended up liking the space girl I designed (modeled after classic pin-up star Bettie Page) so much that I decided to do another stand-alone version without the convention's logo or color scheme.

April Showers

If you thought you'd be safe from my dumb sense of humor in my sexy pics, I've got some bad news for you.

I heard someone mention the old proverb about April showers the other day and the Ninja Turtle's reporter friend immediately popped into my head.

March "Prelude to Patreon" Poll Winner: Spider-Noir

I'll be hosting monthly polls to help me decide what to draw for Patreons members that pledge $5 or more. To get the ball rolling, I did an early test run over on my Facebook page, and Spider-Noir from "Into the Spider-verse" was the winner!
