Squirrel Girl is one of my top comic book crushes, so when I had a little free time between projects the other day and because my birthday was coming up, I decided to draw this rather... cheeky take on one of my favorite characters.

June Sketch Suggestions

It's June, so that means it's time to start taking suggestions for the June sketch. This month's theme: It's the 80's! See, June is my birthday month, and since I was born in '85, I figured it would be fun to pay tribute to the absolute mountain of pop-culture to come out that decade. The possibilities are nearly endless, so be sure to get your ideas in soon!

But, seriously, lewdness aside, I'm oddly proud of two things about this picture - my modernized take on Iron Man's 70's style armor and the fact that I was able to give a character wearing a full face mask an ahegao face.

I'd never watched Death Note before starting work on this, but I'd seen this guy around and was pretty excited for the chance to take a crack at drawing him. He turned out to be a lot of fun. Boy did I get a bit carried away with this one. I just couldn't stop myself, though. Tormund is one of my favorite GoT characters, and turns out drawing big viking-ish warrior dudes hacking away at ice zombies is a LOT of fun. Who knew?

Miyamoto Usagi

It's a bit of a stretch, eh? Hey, it's Easter, he's a rabbit. It totally works, man!

Seriously, I have to admit, I know little about Usagi. I think he crossed over with the Ninja Turtles a few times when I was a kid, but that's about it for my exposure to him. Yet he's somehow become a character I love to draw. Something about a samurai bunny just appeals directly to my sensibilities. One day I'll have to check out some of his comics. 

Jessica Rabbit's Easter Surprise

I didn't even realize until I was half done with this thing that this is my second picture in just a couple weeks of an anthropomorphic animal character peeping on a (semi)nude woman. I don't know if I should avoid doing it again or really turn into the skid and make it a theme for a series. lol

When I was taking suggestions for the March "Prelude to Patreon" poll, my good buddy John Waller Sewell suggested Brak. So a little while back, I designed a poster for the "Cleveland ConCoction" sci-fi convention. I ended up liking the space girl I designed (modeled after classic pin-up star Bettie Page) so much that I decided to do another stand-alone version without the convention's logo or color scheme.
