April was quite the month for my Wednesday Picarto streams. The theme I went with this time was "Boob Tube", dedicated to the lovely ladies of television, and I ended up having so many ideas that I did a few extras. The Stash Card of the Month even got in on the action!

Hey, y'all! It's ya boy comin' at ya with the latest art trend on YouTube: acrylic pours! So like, comment, and subscribe, smash and/or hit that bell, make it beautiful with squarespace, and try to avoid the swamp of right-wing conspiracy videos that YouTube likes to inexplicably push!
lol, Seriously, while watching a lot of wet on wet oil painting videos, acrylic pour videos have been popping up more and more in my suggestions, and despite some of the "weird kid's video" vibes a few of...

Happy April Fool's Day, everybody. I once heard someone make the argument that Rickrolling is one of the best pranks to pull on someone because it's completely wholesome and good-natured and the worst thing that could happen to someone getting tricked is getting to listen to a genuinely fun and catchy song. Compared to some of the more harmful or embarrassing pranks out there, I think they may have been onto something.

So the theme was initially just supposed to be Women of Marvel, but after the first couple weeks, a secondary theme of different decades started to emerge, so I decided to just go with it for the remaining weeks. Admittedly, the line between a few decades got a bit blurry (50s/60s and 80's/90's all fall into the hazy period where the fashions sort of overlap), but it was still a lot of fun.
The characters featured are:
(1950s) Sue Storm
(1960s) Jean Gray
(1970s) Wasp

Hey, folks! Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I think I'm going to be skipping the Twitch steam tonight. I got a new desk the other day and I still need to get everything set up and moved over. Hopefully it'll all be ready by tomorrow!

I have so many thought's on the "New Captain America" costume from "Falcon and the Winter Soldier".
"The latest American war crime."
"Well of course he's going to turn evil. He's going to want revenge on the people that dressed him like that."
"In honor of Phil Coulson, we wanted to make a costume that makes the Captain America costume from the first Avengers movie look good in comparison."
"I've heard of lifting yourself up by the bootstraps, but lifting your face wit...

I had a bit of a rough week last week, so at the end of it I decided to draw one of my favorite cinnamon roll characters, Tsuyu Asui AKA: The Rainy Season Hero Froppy from My Hero Academia!
My only slight issue with this picture is that in trying to put a bit of movement into her hair, I'm afraid I made her look a bit like Ochaco. I head-canon them as best friends, though, so I'm telling myself that this is right after they hung out and Ochaco did her hair. I'll have to do a follow-up w...

Tangentially inspired by WandaVision, this month's Stash Card of the Month is Vision's sister and Ultron's daughter/wife (yikes! lol) Jocasta!
I guess being a perpetually "nude" metal woman has a few drawbacks. lol

Hey there, paisanos! It's the tenth day of March, AKA: Mar10 - Mario day! I decided to celebrate the occasion by drawing Mario as portrayed by Captain Lou Albano on the Super Mario Super Show in 1989, waaay before Nintendo had their IP firmly locked down and Mario was still allowed to get weird! I mean, "Jump Up, Super Star" is great, but nothing slaps like "Do The Mario"!
This is also the March ...

I certainly couldn't let Mar10 pass by without getting Princess Peach in on the action! First is a fun little trading card I did for an art group that I'm in. That's one lucky Toad. As for the second image, I honestly debated on if it really belonged in the Secret Stash. I mean, it's sexy, sure, but it's not exactly explicit. But on the other hand, if you get the reference then, well, you know... lol

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be rearranging the streaming schedule a bit this week. My mom's birthday is on Wednesday, so I won't be streaming that night. Instead, I'll be bumping my regular Wednesday night Picarto stream to Tuesday and canceling the regular Tuesday Twitch stream. The Picarto stream is getting preference mainly because I have a bit of a theme going there this month that I don't want to mess up, whereas the Twitch stream is a bit more "whatever ...

I picked up some sketch card blanks themed around "Dinosaurs" the other day, and here's a WIP preview of my first two cards. It's the Red TyrannoRanger from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Savage Land Rogue from X-Men. Clearly I'm stretching the theme a little, but I think they still count. Color versions hopefully to come eventually!

This is the Card of the Month for February. Members of the $5+ tier will receive a physical copy when the next batch of physical releases go out. Be sure to upgrade if you'd like to get in on future releases.
I imagine he's bitterly waiting for Disney to call about when HE's getting a series.

Here's a collection of all the art I did on my Wednesday Picarto streams this month! I'd been doing a lot of drawing on my streams lately, so I decided to focus on coloring this month. It was a lot of fun and felt more rewarding as I was actually finishing stuff on stream. That being the case, I think I might continue with coloring focused streams, at least for a while.
If you'd like to see more, don't forget I stream my 18+ art on Wednesdays on 2021-02-25 18:00:04 +0000 UTC

Hey, everybody! I already announced it publicly on my facebook page last night, but I wanted to make sure you were all aware that I'm going to try doing an oil painting on Twitch again tonight. I managed to get everything set up so that I'll be running off of my desktop computer instead of my laptop, so it should go ... well, as smoothly as it ever does for whatever that's worth. lol
I'm also going to be raffling off the painting that I'm working on to one lucky viewer. All anyone has t...

Sometimes when I'm drawing a comic, certain panels will stick out to me, and this is one that REALLY stuck out to me. I liked the rough sketch version so much that I actually ended up drawing the panel in an entirely separate file so that that I would have a large, isolated version of it in case we ever decide to use it for anything else like posters or banners or what have you.

We just make happy accidents."
So, yeah, my oil painting livestream last night ended up bombing due to technical issues. My laptop, which usually works fine, picked last night to suddenly run like molasses, and even though my broadcasting program showed me that I was live the entire time, apparently no one was able to watch me for more than a minute or two before my feed cut out. It's frustrating, too, because I actually felt like it was a good stream! I know I'm not usually very talkat...

Hey, everybody! I wanted to let you all know that I'm planning on doing something a little different for this weeks Twitch stream. I'm going to try (may the gods of web cam set ups help me) streaming an actual oil painting! It's be like watching Bob Ross, but not as good and probably with a lot more swearing. (Actually, for serious, I have two paintings in mind that I'll be deciding between and either one sho...

My latest painting, another paint along with Bram, the artist who inspired my previous Northern Lights painting. I have to say, I'm really getting into these more simplistic paintings with limited pallets. This one used a grand total of 4 colors, and if I had it to do it again, I would probably eliminate one of them and just do it with 3. This was also my first time using two new brushes, the Bob ...

Painted entirely in my kitchen!
So, frustrated with the Bob Ross paint alongs, I decided to try a more simple painting I found online. I actually don't hate it too much! The green isn't as vivid as in the source video, but I don't have any Bob Ross "Liquid Clear", so I used linseed oil instead, and that might accoun...

So I took another shot at "Mountain Summit", the first Bob Ross paint along that I tried a couple weeks ago that totally kicked my ass. This time it turned out... better. I mean, that's not saying much since last time my clouds were more or less transparent and the mountain was messed up and I ended up throwing the entire thing into the trash can (I dug it out later to keep as a reminder/motivation), but you know, progress. It's still totally what Bob would call a "mud mixer", though. I'm rea...

I wasn't going to jump on the Lady Dimitrescu hype train that's been taking over twitter. I'm already so busy with other stuff! But now I officially have people asking me about it, so I decided I needed to at least do a quick sketch. And, yeah, it probably won't be my last.

So how 'bout that WandaVision, huh? I'm certainly intrigued. I expected it to be a bit of a mind-fuck, but I didn't quite expect it to hover so close to 'horror' territory. The scene with the choking boss and his wife (AKA, the delightful mom from "That 70's Show") just repeating "Stop it" was just so damn unsettling, it was the moment the show hooked me.
Anyway, I was inspired, so I decided to make Wanda/Scarlet Witch the first Card of the Month card for what I'm thinking of as W...

I wanted to practice my mountains in oil paint. I think they turned out pretty okay considering this is only, like, the second time I've tried to do mountains. I'm not sure if this falls into "happy accident" territory, though, because the snow didn't really work the way it's technically supposed to, but it's hard to argue with these final results.
I also created a gif to show the steps. I kinda forgot to keep taking pictures once I started in on the mountains, so there's a bit of a jum...

Tomorrow is October 1st, and Halloween season is upon us! I know I'm hardly alone when I say that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. The costumes, the candy, the spooky movies - what's not to love? It's also arguably one of the sexiest holidays! How that ever came to be, I'm not sure, but I've decided to take full advantage of it! How?
First, I'll be participating in Kinktober. What's Kinktober, you might ask? Well, you've probably heard of Inktober, the annual challenge to creat...
