Next Major Project (Now with Cage)

This is the six-sided ring.  I'm hoping to reuse the texture maps for as much as possible.  Still some things to fix (turnbuckle covers), things to replace (low-poly ropes) and things to update (high poly textures for ropes and canvas).

Working on a cage for it as well.  Question is, do we want the base of the cage to be on the apron or down on the ground?

So I opted for the ground.  No mesh fencing at the top.  Still figuring out a way to do that.  B...

Broke A Cable

Moved my powered down PC to clean underneath. Didn't notice the DisplayPort cord was that tight and *crack* broke the connector in the cable or the video card.  Don't have another cable to see which.  Found an HDMI cable for now.

Looking for Suggestions

Working on a commission piece right now, but I'm also thinking about what item I should try and make next for posting here on Patreon.

I'm open to ideas and input.

Mouthtape for Genesis 8 Female

A simple prop.  It comes with default Iray textures, but I included a 3DL version as well.

Has the UV layout if you wanted to customize even more.

Rainbow Mika for Genesis 8 Female

Let's start of March with a full outfit for the ladies.  

Seems my fixation on Japanese game wrestler continues unabated.  This time, it's a conversion of Rainbow Mika's outfit.  Fits quite well, all things considered but does require smoothing to prevent bleed through of the skin.

I also made it so the body colour can be changed from blue to whatever is desired.  Same with trim, though I didn't try myself.

Handwraps for Genesis 8 Male

Replacement for older hand wraps made for Genesis 3 Male.

I never thought about trying to set this up for dForce.

Kickboxing Pants 2021 for Genesis 8 Female

A pair of kickboxing pants (trousers) for Genesis 8 Female.  Comes with Iray materials shown above.  It's also a dForce item to get that dynamic look.

As always comes with the UV layout.

Wristbands 2021 for Genesis 8 Male

New wristbands to replace an old set of Genesis 3-based ones.

Singlet for Genesis 8 Male

A new dForce singlet for Genesis 8 Male.  Low cut for those that prefer that look.

Comes with a number of different colour settings and 14 patterns for Iray.

There was a .dsf error.  Normally, it doesn't matter for this item but I uploaded a version that should correct it.

Tiger Mask for Genesis 8 Male Challenge (Updated 22 MAR)

Yes, this is a challenge.  

I've made this item and, for some reason, the hair of the mask won't parent.  After going through the forums and tried to use "Fit to" functionality as mentioned, it's just not working for me.

If anyone figures out a solution, I hope it gets posted here and shared.  Then, depending on what the solution is, I'll probably repost the ZIP file with the required changes.

Neckbrace for Genesis 8 Male

Another simple prop.

Footpads 2021 for Genesis 8

Originally made for Genesis, I took the time to fix some issues.  The first thing improved was the thickness of the pads along the bottom.  I also improved the look by creating some high poly mesh to bring a little more depth to the strap.

Created with Iray in mind, has two material zones: nylon and padding.

Once I get some free time, I'm going to export out some customized textures for these.

Body Shield for Genesis 3

I had this for a while but decided to get it finished.  It's a body shield for both Genesis 3 Male and Genesis 3 Female.

Has four material zones for customizations.

I also uploaded the Substance Painter 2020 file (SPP) for those that have access to the program.

Amateur Singlet 2021 for Genesis 8 Female

A mesh made expressly for the female form.  Comes with a bunch of materials.  I didn't make this a dForce item out-of-the-box.

Wrestling Ring 2021

And here it is.  An updated wrestling ring with lots of customization potential.  Making this was rather brutal, so people better reflect that in their work.  ;)

Moving forward, I'll be making morphs based on this mesh.

Wrestling Set 2018 Reworked

A rework of a previous item.  Called Wrestling Set 2018, I've updated it for 2021, particularly for Iray use.

The textures have been greatly improved and I fixed some UV mapping issues (particularly the posters).

I added some curtains and adjusted the overhead lights.

It's sizeable file, and I'm not going to be surprised if some people find some texture errors.  If you had the old one, it should not be a problem.

Combat Arena

Just a quick recreation of the karate combat fight area.

The object has two texture maps: one for the structure itself and another for the centre mat.

Comes as an OBJ.  Not sure what I'm going to do now that DAZ Connect has replaced DIM.

Chainwrapped Fists for Genesis 8 Male

First item for 2021 is a very simple prop, for that street fight look.  Basically some chain wrapped around Genesis 8 Male's hand.  I reweighed it slightly so that it doesn't distort as badly, but yet doesn't interfere with the built in hand poses (i.e., grasp, fist).

I haven't seen how well this works with Genesis 8 Female auto fit yet.

First Post of 2021

I may have taken a couple days off around Christmas, but I was right back at it.  It's going to be a busy month.

I have been neck deep in commission work, so that locks up DAZ Studio on my PC (DAZ Studio is still not supported on macOS Big Sur).  I've even been trying to leave a dozen renders to complete while I sleep at night!

Beach Shorts 2020 for Genesis 8 Male

Another quick item.  Struggling with getting surfer like colours with no luck, so this just comes with the plain white set.  Does come with the UV layout for customizations.

The way the dForce laces work is that they are added in as a separate object (I baked the shorts without the laces) so the shorts can be used without them.

dForce Armbands for Genesis 8 Male

A simple clothing item that should easily handle most Genesis 8 Male shapes.  The above image is Brute 8 and Ezra both at 100%, which makes it the largest size I can generate without scaling.  

Has some Iray materials and the UV layout for any customization(s).

Jungle Ring 2020

A simple wrestling prop I made ages ago for a commission.  Has both 3DL and Iray materials.

UPDATE:

Fixed an issue with textures.  I had used some leather textures from a pack obtained from the DAZ Store.  Because people may not have the pack, the old version may generate errors.  So, I  tinkered with the file and provided two replacement textures.

Simply reinstall this item over the old one if you had already installed it.

This was something quite different, not just in terms of the content, but also in the final look of the series. 

This account is largely for content creators, not creations themselves, but it is the holidays.  Not too much merry going on in that ring, though.

Jann Lee DOA6 Outfit Conversion for Genesis 8 Male

Someone requested that repost this Jann Lee outfit that was once over at DA.  I don't ever remember deleting anything over there, but this item has gone missing.

I couldn't find the Genesis 3 Male version (lost during HDD crash).

Mouthpiece 2020 for Genesis 8

Basically, I took my old Genesis 3 mouthpiece and fit it to Genesis 8 (female on the left, male on the right) and properly weight mapped it to the head.  The mouth can now be opened without the item distorting badly.

Also, made some basic Iray materials for a little differentiation from just the standard black.
