Because if you're like me, the thing you like better than seeing Sonya and her sister Charlotte in bikinis... is seeing Sonya and Charlotte NOT in bikinis.

The second "installment" of this month's Pic of the Month (the first being "POTM 1: Tetsuko IS Supergirl!"), here's the result of another suggestion by a patron, who wanted to see Sonya and Charlotte in bikinis.
A note about "this" Charlotte: this is Sonya's sister (you can see the "family resemblance", right?); whose career is nude modeling. She portrays a superheroine also named "Charlotte" i...

Suggested by patron John Rikhter, a revisit of the Tetsuko Cosplay Calendar illustration of Tetsuko in a Supergirl costume; only this time, instead of merely cosplaying Supergril, Tetsuko IS Supergirl.
I made a couple of little "adjustments" to her costume: gave her a bare midriff (because hiding abs like hers is a crime); leaving off the pleats her original costume skirt had because it made it easier to draw; and turned the ...

Well it's that time again: time for me to a) whine about how quickly the month (and the year) are going, and b) solicit questions for the February Q & A video.
Anything you want to know about my art, my characters, my techniques... almost anything, please leave them in the comments below.
I anticipate getting the 26th and 27th off, so Tuesday is the day I plan to shoot, edit and post the video, so if you can get your questions in by, say, Sunday (the 24th), <bossfromOfficeS...

Not the Pic of the Month, but this is a drawing I'm working on (in between pages of Tetsuko's Odyssey and Kaijuu Fighter Tetsuko).
It's Red the Paladin (created by Pumpmonger) in a situation all too familiar to the flame-haired warrior. The inspiration comes from the iconic poster for the 1958 movie Hercules, which sparked the "Peplum"/sword-and-sandal movie genre and made a star of bodybuilder Steve Reeves.
Speaking of the POTM, I'm casting about for ideas for t...

Because I plan to publish this comic (and Tetsuko's Odyssey) in print and digital editions - and want people to buy them! - I don't know how many more (if any) pages Ill be posting for free.
But I make this promise: Patreon subs...

I was hoping to have this done a week ago, but "factors beyond my control" interfered (including a work schedule that had me doing a seven-day stretch between days off - time off I was hoping to use to assemble and post this video).
But finally, here it is. Enjoy, and (although I do insist in the video that this isn't "how to do it" as much as it is "how I do it") I hope you can learn something you can use in your own art.
And speaking of work schedules... I'm wa...

Something I've been working on here and there, a few minutes at a time, over the past month or so... the first finished page of the first issue of Kaijuu Fighter Tetsuko!
It's actually Page 3–the first two pages tease the first appearance of the issue's monster–but it's the first page that features the main characters. Well, it features Sonya; Tetsuko "appears" as a voice over a phone.
One of several plans I have for 2019 is to publish KFT #1 (as well as ...

I just combined all the screen recordings I did of the coloring process on the Pic of the Month... and it times out at 45 minutes and 5 seconds! (insert "scream emoji" here.) Needless to say, I've got some editing to do to get it down to about the ten minutes or so I think makes a good instructional video: long enough to be informative, but not so long that it's a slog to get th...

Okay, I promised two videos this month: the monthly Q and A (for which I'm still taking questions; hint hint!) and a second video detailing how I render skin tones in my illustrations.

I got a DM from a subscriber (I won't reveal the name, because it was a private message, unless I get permission to do so) asking me how I render skin tones in my drawings.
Ordinarily I'd consider this an entry for the January 2019 Q & A video, but that won't be coming until the end of the month, and I don't want him to wait that long for the answer.
Plus, if I put a "how-I-do-it" tutorial into the monthly video, I fear it'll make it run too long. Yet I think video–actually ...

A few nights ago, I was playing with my Animation Desk app on my iPad, and came up with the following animation:

This has been a long-time "interest" (fetish?) of mine: seeing a muscular super heroine's invulnerability tested, watching her muscles withstanding attacks from bullets (or, in this case, power beams) and the like.
Yesterday, I decided to add color to it. It took longer than I ...

I wanted to go ahead and post this now rather than wait 'til the end of the month because the leadup to the holidays (Christmas and New Year's) can be hairy times. I anticipate not getting my regular Mondays and Tuesdays off for the next week or two, so I figured, better to do the vid now and be able to relax (a little) knowing this is off my mind.

Here's a small sample, cropped from the larger pic. As you can probably suss out for yourselves, it's a Christmas-themed pic. It'll feature three of my characters altogether; and if you've guessed one of them will be Tetsuko, give yourself a brownie point! (I'll let the identity of the third one be a surprise.)

This video answers the most questions - 8! - that I've ever had during a month.
It led me to speculate, at the beginning, that this might thus be the longest Q&A video so far. and once I was finished, I saw that it clocks in at 15:20. As it turns out, though, there's one that's longer: at 16:49, the March 2017 Q&A which (among other things) featured an "on location" tour of my workplace (at no...
