Wednesday the wind and rain started picking up in the evening, and Thursday was the main "storm day". Luckily, Ian was "only" a tropical storm by that time - still nothing to ignore, but less dangerous than a Cat 2 or 3 hurricane would have been. Lost power for only about 20 minutes; no damage to the house. All in all, we came out OK!

Often, I will see a particularly striking photograph of a woman bodybuilder that will inspire me to draw one of my characters in that pose, with that lighting scheme.
And sometimes it'll be a pic that's been languishing in my archives for weeks, months, or even years, that I'll suddenly see with fresh eyes.
That's what happened here. Because it was a woman posing with dumbbells, Satin Steele seemed the obvious choice for subject.

And I think I've set a new record: from shooting to posting in just under three hours!
Of course, it helps that the video is only about six minutes long; if it was one of my past 12+ minute epics, it'd've taken longer to shoot, edit, and upload. And of course I spent some time over the past week writing my script, transferring them to my teleprompter app, assembling the graphics and drawing three custom sketches for the last answer in the video.

Okay, this was supposed to be a full-color animation of a Random Muscle Girl (RMG) flexing her biceps.
But I keep forgetting how freakin' long it takes to do even a short piece like this - 35 frames, about 3 seconds long. I spent the past three days doing this much, and haven't even gotten to the coloring yet! Now, it was my intention to shoot, edit and (if all went well) post the video tonight; but because of reasons I'd rather not get into here, we found it necessary to replace the floor in our kitchen. So... tomorrow I shoot!

I was debating whether to finish the next page before posting both of them, because that would've finished up the "talky" part of the story, and the page after that would show Tetsuko and Sonya on their way to (finally!) confront the monster.
But my wife and I had a get-together with some of her relatives yesterday, which caused me to lose most of the time I wanted to spend doing page 22. So, here's page 21.
