The last of Drache's elite generals, Sir Sigmund is a product of a bygone age as the last of the old guard from the reign of the previous emperor. He's gained many titles over a long and storied career, like "Iron Wall of Drache" or "The Guardian Lion", but these days he's known most as the "Grey Knight", a name given to him by the newer recruits. Armed with a shield and spear, he leads the armies north of the capital, but often acts with a temperance not seen in his peers.

The third of Drache's elite generals is the Grand Alchemist, Chimerus. Beneath the aged exterior lies a brilliant mind that has spent decades researching and revolutionizing the laws and use of magical energy. However, his unmatched intellect is matched by his cruelty and ambition. To the Grand Alchemist, no sacrifice is too great in the pursuit of enlightenment.

Another of the Drachen Empire's elite generals, the noble born Adler commands all of the armies south of the Capital. However, his lackadaisical causes a lot of friction with the other generals, and his disinterest in anything that doesn't challenge him is reflected in a lack of discipline in his troops.
On the battlefield however, is a different story entirely. Adler has earned his rank a thousand times over as a peerless prodigy in the art of swordplay. Make no mistake, Adler is the strongest...

One of the Drachen Empire's elite generals, Rayne is the commanding officer of the Sacred Fraternal Order of the Crimson Dragons. As leader of Drache's elite fighting force, she's demands only the best from the 200 Dragon Knights underneath her, and she acts with a cold and calculating efficiency to achieve the empire's goals.

On e of the more common complaints about this kind of art is that there's a sense of weightlessness. I can agree to that, but it's kind of necessary since otherwise it'd all be variations on the theme of "can't get out of bed".
But, on occasion, I guess it's kind of fun to take weight and a tiny bit more realism into consideration.

Luckily I've managed to get this in just under the wire! The second of the two winners of this month's commission raffle is Gypsysquid, and he wanted his OC, Onion, with mine Kokoro Ushima. We decided on having them cooking together. i think it ended up being pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
Also attached is a super sketchy alternate idea that ended up not working out.

I'm a little behind and the second raffle winner and I are still discussing ideas for his prize, but in the meantime here's what the winner Jaesterfra wanted: Something involving Fang and Lian Hua.
Also attached is an alternate concept sketch.

This week in Seeds of Fate we're playing catch-up a little as work is behind where it needs to be. On the plus side, a resource pack of ship tiles was released recently so I've picked that up and I'm slowly cannibalizing it for parts we can make use of.
By sheer coincidence that allows work to progress on the next sequential map, Ship's Deck. So we've lucked out a little.
Also the designs for some of the major villains have been finished, so I'll be uploading those in the next week.

This Week in Seeds of Fate, more skills and compiling data.
Van's stats and some of the more situational skills got tweaked, like for example, a move called Second Wind. It restores 100 MP, but only if your MP is already critically low. This can nonetheless greatly change the flow of battle, so to balance it out, it, and some future moves, can only be used once per battle. Which took some serious doing, let me tell you.
And there was also some time spent on resource creation. Unfortunately the ...

My longest and possibly the most popular comic I did for the BE Story Club was "Welcome to Chastity", and as a result of liking the setting and the characters I'd decided to write a spinoff about one of the minor characters called "Tales from Chastity: Tara's Story". Opinion on that ended up being mixed; it ended up getting assigned a different artist, and the script was not only a little rushed on my part, but didn't end up translating well.
So, a while later I had gotten it into my head to d...

As I said in another picture, sometimes when I write comics or stories it helps my creative process to sketch out the characters first. My longest and possibly the most popular comic I did for the BE Story Club was "Welcome to Chastity", and while I seem to recall having an idea going to writing that for a story about a Chinese girl and her goth best friend, it was more about a one of those cliche magical antique stores, and them coming across a box of magic tea (which fans of Fang Hua are proba...

This one is a real blast from the past. It was done in 2009, and is actually one of the first pictures to result of my having bought a tablet.
The character is Ritsuka Yuki from a (pretty awesome) tokusatsu series called Tomica Heroes Rescue Fire, which I had been into at the time because it had Hiroshi Fujioka (Kamen Rider 1/Segata Sanshiro/Japanese Chuck Norris) in a minor roll and was as close to a Burning Rangers show as I was ever going to get.The title is a reference to the fact that JAM P...

This Week in Seeds of Fate...
Well, much like my other artistic pursuits, development was a little stalled thanks to thanks to switching ISPs mid week and relatives from out of town visiting.
However, there are some things to show off. First, a pair of new NPC sprites to replace the generic RTP bunny girls; these two waitresses in green. The redhead has some interesting dance moves youll get to see, and I actually did a proper sketch of her on the last stream as well.
Second is the coding a...

Thanks to a significant redesign as she's no longer going to be using edited stock graphics, now Van's Mom has got it going on.
She's designed to evoke the appearance of a adventurer in her own right; the heroine of a story that happened before the main characters were born and she retired to the quiet life of a farmer and medicine woman.

One of the first NPCs you interact with.
The firstborn son of the Auroch ranching family. On the surface, Gast is strong and as stubborn as the bulls his clan raises but deep down he's actually big softy that's loyal to his fellow farmers and easily knocked around by the player in the training ring.

First off, I'm going to be aiming to do another stream tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7th) starting at 8:30 PM EST. I'm set to change ISPs on Wednesday, so I thought it might be a good idea to get one in just in case something goes wrong and I'm incommunicado indefinitely
Stream will be at http://www.livestream.com/saburox

This Week in Seeds of Fate, work began on the story past the last release, so from now on, there are SPOILERS. I'll try to keep the screenshots from ruining too much though.
So, the fun stuff to look at are a new map: Ship Cabin. It might not look like much, but that's because it's not animated. Took a while but I figured out how to get the whole thing to bob up and down with the waves.
Next, a new enemy called Samejin. It's a Land Shark! Samejin has a passive skill called Waterskin, which ups...

A kind of steampunk mechanic that's also really pregnant. Her head ended up being a little too big for her body and it was colored back when my methods didn't really allow for fixing that kind of thing in post, so it was never shared before now.

WIP sketch of Aoi on a subway. I've narrowed down the time period she exists in to "Just far enough into the future to be vaguely cyberpunk" but haven't yet figured out her method of BE. Either way, this is a good "walking around" size for her.

Some of you may be aware that I occasionally try my hand at writing comics for the Breast Expansion Story Club. What you may not know is that every once in a while when I'm working on one such comic, I try to sketch out my idea for what the characters look like in my head.
It's always interesting to see how much different my mental picture is from the finished product, and it's a challenge as a writer to make my descriptions clear enough that it's not too far off. Sometimes it is, sometimes it ...
