Thrill Seeker Postponed

Due to a sudden tragedy in my partner's family, "Thrill Seeker" is postponed until Thursday, May 25th. My activity here will be paused temporarily as I will be accompanying her out of town. Commissions are delayed as well. Thank you so much for all the support lately, guys. You're incredible people. I will be back around very soon! We are well, but it is trying times for her people back home.

Fun Fact: Yesterday morning before going to sleep I convinced myself I needed to scrap page 8 the next session because the line art didn't feel right. I am so glad I decided to give it a chance because it became one of my favorite pages. Just barely a Green/Red scheme which I very rarely use. Just doesn't work most cases.  

I smell lore.

Ellie takes a good wack to the yapper in TS. It won't be too long until we meet the owner of the replicas.

I actually started a Dr. Schneider comic right after "The Airbnb" but was struggling with blending modes at the time in PS, and TS is helping me lock it down. It is very, very blue and lighting is crucial in it. Might come next!

Witching Hour Elation Post

Thrill Seeker is nearly finished. I set out to produce the most ridiculous, relentlessly epic thing the world of webcomics has ever seen, and I think I'm achieving that. For the last couple of years, I've been straddling the line between actual graphic novel quality work and goofy self contained comic strips and I feel like TS is the apex. I love this page so, so much. Sharing the stage just before it's fully finished. I'm currently powering through the tornado pages, which predictably have been insanely difficult, but if I can wrap them by tonight it should be smooth sailing. The truck has THE perfect color scheme so I'm not worried about it being too time consuming.

Castello Ref Studies

A set from about 20 of another pinterest crash course. I've lost patience with the characters' designs seemingly falling apart with every comic when the reference studies are always pretty good. And it's mainly because the art in the comics is highly stylized, and it wants to be the whacky, exxagerrated nonsense it was a few years ago, causing a clash with the emergence of more realistic proportions. Top panel page 9 is going to be largely color reliant, as well as the original tornado reveal. I figure any line work will just act as decent texture. We'll see how I approach that. 2 more pages left of line art, and the last two will fly by.

I'm back! I just had to step out for a brief existential crisis. 

The new page to follow Ellie's free fall pose, the count now at 11. You'll notice the full lines for 7 did not get posted. It is currently being overhauled. Its top panel ended up being a total disaster despite being one of the simplest ones? The continual shift of my style continues to vex me.
