I always like capturing those moments of ‘something is about to happen’, I like the sense of tension and anticipation. I’d like to make more images like this.

I very nearly went with the alternative version of the bathtub scene with Carl and Joe, but I could get their angles into a place I was happy with. Sometimes as an artist I try to forge ahead and just make it work out of a sense of sunk-cost or sheer belligerence, but I knew I could do better with that image, so ended up reworking it entirely.
