The most recent draft is currently sitting at 15,213 words, but there's still a lot of holes that need to be patched and a lot of areas that need love and polish. I'm estimating the final product to be in the 18,000-21,000 range (around where the first section was) when all is said and done.

Remember when I said the first part was going to be ~8,000 words? Well, it's looking like it's more like ~15,000! That's the good news at least. The bad news is that it still needs a bit more work - I need to go back through it at a few more time and polish everything up, file off all the rough edges, fill in any more holes. that sort of thing.
