Attachable Arcane Scope: Art (PNGs)

Greetings All!

This has been in my notes forever and was earmarked for the Tinkerer’s Guide in the kickstarter, on review I just really wanted to make them. So I was able to make both a common and uncommon version of the items, while the common is borderline mundane. I don't think gadgets are something you could encounter easily.

This one features the ability to hone in on a target, which is experimental but there is precedent in several other spells/abilities.<...

Armor of the Implacable: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

The Implacable Man is a trope that I have long admired, and I wanted to try to encompass it into an armor. It is a tall order, but I really wanted something outside of the +3 for this one.

Lifting abilities from Golems, and brewing up some of my own while leaving several options open to the players, I was able to come up with this. An armor worthy of the relentless that will cease at nothing, nor be swayed by power until death. Implacable. Gosh I li...

The Last Round: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

While revisiting and updating notes, I located one of my original item designs for the first month this weekend! While I never quite knew how I would make it at the time, with some time passed and more confidence in design here we are.

This was always a niche item, but it fulfills so many story tropes that I can’t help but love it. Who doesn’t love seeing a hero down to their last shot pull off something spectacular. As an archer in my youth, I ...

Dissembler's Harp: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Knowing that most bardic instruments are larger, I wanted to make a backup so to speak. Something small that was usable in its own right. This was the result, an ancestor to the harmonica of sorts with an extra feature for concealing. As with most mundane items, I try to include a magical version of the new item type so I hope you enjoy! Balanced towards smaller magics, and geared towards a showman and deception.

Thoughts are very welcome and I hope...

Jaw Harp: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This was not a submittal this week, as I did not get many Commons. I will be adding the submittal form to my stories and then pinning to my profile in this coming week. For now, this is something that had been on my list for a while.

The Jaw Harp, this has a number of names (one of which is rather offensive and doesn’t need to be mentioned), I actually first encountered the mongolian and nordic versions. I had seen it in a handful of small things ...

The Lost Anchor: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This is a combination of a submitted, an original, and a leveling up for legendary.

Growing from the utility in submittal stages and adding a key feature (with some input from the discord editors) I enjoyed expanding it for a higher level of play. I ended giving several nods back to the first one shots I ran in 5e. It was for a sky-crew on the ‘Bloody Horizon’ with a half ogre that used a broken anchor. While it was more tongue in cheek, it is s...

Stake of Fertility: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

I almost reverted this back to the name I drafted it under, Druid’s Blessing, but it still seemed too general. So the Fertility comment generator it is! This was one of the first that answered the call for Common items, though I did remove Rod from the title before Instagram melted down with laughter.

I like the simplicity, and strength of this stake over time, not only is there an upfront investment but also the time period for the actual harvest...

Shepherd's Token: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This is actually a swap in item, I originally wanted to make a set of dice where you could roll a set number with a somatic or verbal trigger. Turns out there is an attuned version in XGE, which just means I need to read up more on the other books it seems.

As a stand in, I have the shepherd’s token that was planned for next week. This one is Common to the core, not as versatile as the spell ‘Detect Poisons and Disease.’ It does the job for a ...

Totem of the Fire Titan: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

The counter totem of the Ice Titan, the Fire Titan.

While similar to the Ice Titan (obviously) it goes from utility to almost full tilt offensive. I really enjoyed pilfering the SRD to try and find a balance of flame spells that played into similar roles as the original totem. I am happy with the outcome.

This went through several designs but I love the final outcome, a primitive take on something half remembered. The horns were one of my favo...

Ear Trumpet: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Sometimes known as the Hearing Horn, this had been on my list for a while to try and add to the low level adventurers pack. Anything to give an edge over the unknown, and a suitable aid to the mirror and spyglass.

It is a mundane over a common, but I tend to lump them into a similar catalogue when creating much like legendaries and artifacts. This one, I hope sees a good deal of use for your low level tables and as some of you know. I enjoy making c...

Tome of the Stenographer: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Another item designed at Gameholcon - the Tome of the Stenographer.

While a Common item, I really enjoy the purpose of taking notes. While this isn’t an item for putting the burden of conversations on the GM, it in fact is the opposite. They are able to give small summaries or assist to a player/character without requiring a mountain of digging. I was really thrilled by the idea.

As always, your thoughts, and questions are encouraged!

Master of None: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Something for the Skill Monkeys like myself out there, this is probably one of the most meta mechanic related items that I have designed yet. It's meant to suit the Jack of Trades, hence the name and the final line of the quote overlooked.

While originally I thought about adding expertise to the pile, it did not suit the name or intention of not being a master. Instead it was replaced with the Fail Better option, which after the fact I feel harkens ...

Adhering Bearings: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Something that I love in the SRD with a number of uses that doesn’t get much love. Many peoples first encounter with their versatility came with Beau’s use of them in CR Campaign 2.

I loved the idea of them being used to set up a distraction, or to cover an area against creatures that ignore the ground in favor of walls or ceilings. So to split the difference with 1 minute and an hour, landing at 10 Minutes. These should be great for expanding s...

The Draft Horse: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

As a show of hands, who has actually used one of these in game? A Block and Tackle is included in the SRD as a piece of adventuring gear, and as useful as a mirror or pole. This version is a x5 (instead of the mundane x4) which allows a massive amount of force, especially in a team effort.

I am pretty sure I am the first to make a magical version of this, but there are so many wonderful creators, I can never be sure. As a Common Item, I also include...

Totem of the Ice Titan: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now, and if you could not tell this is the first of a pair. While the counterpart is planned for the future, it is still a few weeks out from here. Focusing on the Ice Titan for now, but you can imagine an opposing image for now.

This is an item that has a lot of possibilities, especially in story hooks. From an ancient castle that has mysteriously frozen over, a mysterious cold snap leading t...
