Jax and Sonya

This commission for Angelo makes me wonder why I haven't drawn more Mortal Kombat characters in the past, the series has such a huge roster of scantily clad women after all.

I've enjoyed the two most recent MK games, but I wonder where the series can go from here. The decision to time-jump the narrative and give the cast of murderous psychotic brawlers wives and kids was a baffling one to me. And how long before the violent spectacle gets too gross? Is such a thing even possible? &nbs...

Pin Up Poll 1/25/18

Next week's theme is "characters from mega-popular Shonen Jump anime series that I have never really gotten into." Just rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Either way it's Nami from One Piece vs. Sakura from Naruto! :D

Since its debut at Hentai Foundry on February 14, 2015, Switch has been a comic that was sustained by the support of its readers. (Especially if you're reading this here at Patreon.) I can't thank you all enough for your comments, critiques, and interest in my work. I've started dozens of comics in my time, but Switch is the first one I've ever finished. And that's because you kept the fire going, and I'll always be grateful for that.

Fiona had been seeing Jason for several months now, but today was a special day for their relationship. He was finally going to leave his wife.

Fiona had been more than patient, but she was tired of sneaking around. She was in love and she wanted the world to know. This would be the last time they would have to take cabs to meet up at a motel on the outskirts of town. Tonight they would go on their first real date in public.

She couldn't wait.

To be continued!

When I first started the comic I never had any intention to keep these characters around after the story was over. But over the last few years it became obvious to me that I wouldn't be ready to let them go when the time came. So while it may be goodbye for now, this certainly isn't the last we'll see of Casey and Bria.

But this story isn't quite over yet! The epilogue hits next week. :)

Casey Repaint

Hey guys I repainted the cover for Chapter Six to match Casey's current look and my current style. I'm in the process of opening up a merch store at Cafe Press, so I went looking for existing work I could spruce up to sell as prints and mouse pads. This was one of the only shots of Casey I had that would work so I revamped it over the weekend.

If you'd like to compare just for fun you can jump over to the original at Hentai Foundry right 2018-01-17 00:57:28 +0000 UTC View Post

Nikki Wynheart

Here we have a profile page for Mystery Street's new OC! This is actually the first of three commissions featuring her I started a while back. So expect to see more of her soon with some story as well.

This is Fuu from a series called Samurai Champloo, probably one of my favorite anime of all time. It was made by the creators of an equally great show with an equally ridiculous name called Cowboy Bebop, in fact I'd call Samurai Champloo a spiritual successor to Bebop in a lot of ways. They were both about flipping established genres on their heads for example. Whereas Bebop cleverly merged spaghetti western themes with a sci-fi setting, Champloo combined hip hop culture and modern slang with a ...

Red Monica Sketch

This month's sketch for Kaldonis (is it obvious by now I was trying to knock all the sketches out this weekend?) features the pirate Red Monica from the classic yet short-lived comic, Battle Chasers. I followed the comic at the time and was absolutely blown away. The artwork was amazing, and the fantasy setting and characters really set it apart from the other superhero-driven comics out there.

So you can imagine my dismay when the seemingly incredibly popular comic started releasing new...

Raven Sketch

This month's sketch for KainRezo072 is Raven from a comic series called Teen Titans. She's probably better known for the cartoon of the same name, but I never saw that one myself, not much of it anyway.

The only time I've ever seen Raven in the comics came from a graphic novel collection I have of all the DC/Marvel crossover stories they did decades ago. Can you believe that was actually a thing? Hard to imagine such a collaboration now. It was a cool concept, the Superman vs. Spiderman ...

Pyra Sketch

This month's sketch for Mystery Street features Pyra from a game called Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I haven't made it very far into the game myself, like most JRPGs it's a massive time sink to play and I've been awfully busy with work lately.  It's strange but the thing I liked most about the game so far was the soundtrack. I'd expect no less from Yasunori Muthafuckin' Mitsuda, (that is indeed his full name) as he made the music for Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, two of the best vide...

Switch Page 165

As for story stuff, I decided it's best to just keep my mouth shut here for now. The comic has three pages left and I don't want to blow anything I haven't already.

But I can talk about more technical aspects just fine. For example considering how much bigger Switch's head is than Casey's it was quite a challenge not to have it look like Switch was devouring Casey's whole face during their kiss goodbye. Still not sure if I pulled it off.

Also Switch disappearing into scribble...

Switch Relaxing

Whenever I get commissioned to draw my own characters I always try to work the pic into the canon and come up with a little story to go along. But since these Switch commissions from Kaldonis aren't canonical I think I'll just let this one speak for itself visually. :)

For those unfamiliar, Morrigan here is face-punching succubus from an old series of 2D fighting games called Darkstalkers, a series I would describe as fun, stylish, and hard without lube. Seriously I don't think I've beaten the single player mode once in the entire trilogy.

The concept of Darkstalkers was pretty much Street Fighter but with classic monsters instead of martial artists. It sounds simple but it was a fun twist on the genre at the time. Morrigan was my favorite conceptually...

Switch PSDs

Man, I'll admit I struggled with the dialog here. I knew the gist of what I wanted Switch to say, but hammering down specifics gave me a hell of a time. I may be just overly paranoid, but now that I'm down to the last few pages I feel like every word counts more than ever.

Nuka Girl

This commission for Boinkmeister features his Fallout 4 character Diana. The pose and composition is based on an existing piece of official art from the game, but with a few modifications. :)

You know it's funny, every time Bethesda puts out a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls game I always play the hell out of them at first. I clock in dozens of hours but I've never finished any of them. I think it's because, for me at least, there can be such a thing as having TOO much side quest stuff to do. As ...

Happy New Years Day Everybody!

So I put these two, Korra and Asami, against each other in a poll. And as of when I started work on this, they were tied perfectly in votes. I don't usually draw both characters in a poll, (kind of defeats the purpose of voting if you ask me) but figured I'd make an exception since these two are  a canonical couple in the show, and there was clearly interest around here in seeing me draw them together.

So as far as pop culture is c...

Eris

Much as I've always loved hand-drawn animated movies, (especially ones starring human characters as opposed to talking animals,) I somehow missed Sinbad:Legend of the Seven Seas when it came out. But thanks to this commission for Scuzz Bucket at least I was introduced to the hot villain of the story, who has exactly the kind of flowing hair look I've been going for with Switch lately. And the fact that she was voiced by Michelle Pfeiffer makes me feel like I should check the movie out sometime, ...

Switch Page 163

I've come to like the look of Switch's hair and clothes trailing her as though she's moving under water. I like the idea of her looking like she's always in motion and I think the effect works for that.

A couple of people I've shown this page to were left a bit confused by the last panel. So I'm aware that the context I'm going for isn't as clear as it could be. It can be a tricky area for a writer, (well, for me anyway,) to present something that's just ambiguous enough to leav...

Aya Brea Sketch

This month's sketch for Mystery Street, this is Aya from an old game series called Parasite Eve. I have fond memories of the PS1 original myself. In an age where pretty much every RPG was a JRPG, and each one featured a fantasy setting and starred an angsty teenage boy with ridiculous hair, the idea of playing as a level-headed, emotionally mature female cop in a modern setting was refreshing. (Hell, even by today's standards that idea is still novel.)

So anyhow I loved the firs...
