Things are going pretty well right now, 4/8 chapters are done, but I wanted to tell you future audio books might be hard to produce without monetary help. I paid the full thing myself this time, which was $2400, but as you all know volume 2 is twice as long and then some. Paying for it all at once is a no go, gonna have to pay for it chapter by chapter, and in the future help would be greatly appreciated. One chapter might be like 1-200 each.

The most important thing for Coye to do was pull himself off of Byng as fast as he could. He failed to do so, and the reason was obvious. I was trying something new for a while, where I wrote out all the rough draft chapters for a book, but I think I'm going to go back to my old way of doing things. I.e. writing a rough draft and then just redoing it right away. I feel like my work has slowed significantly because of the shift, and I'm going to see if going back helps. The edits to volume 1 have been taking longer than planned. I'm almost done now, I just have to rewrite a few more pages of the last chapter and then put all chapters through the editing process. I expect to launch the new and improved volume 1 sometime within a few days.

The edits to volume 1 of Corruption of Coye are taking longer than planned. I originally intended just to improve the prose here and there and make small changes, but I don’t think I’m capable of just doing minor edits lol. Overall I think it’s important, and I’d rather get the editing out of the way now before the audiobook starts getting recorded since it essentially needs to be finalized before that.
