Can't think of a better way to transition from SuperBatober into character sketches than by drawing what could essentially just be a bonus SuperBatober. The patron asked for Supergirl but asked if I could get Krypto included in the sketch. Since Krypto didn't show up at all last month, I think it's nice that he gets a little spotlight here. :)

Ah... a nice warm drink after a loooong month. :)

Realized I've been neglecting Streaky in the past few of these so decided to bring him back in a BIG way. Happy Caturday! Got a late start on this one, working well into last night, so forgot to snap a pic of the inks. Sorry. I had a good run at least!
Speaking of cats getting bigger, the two kittens we adopted over the summer are no longer kitten sized and getting into EVERYTHING. Mostly Neptune here, who would climb a skyscraper if we lived in one.

Back from Chattanooga Comic Con! I was such a great, fun little show! Good crowds, good hosts, good lighting (which is unusual in a convention center) and good friends. Despite a hectic month, I'm glad I made the extra effort to attend. Gosh though... I am SO thankful not to have to travel anywhere for a couple of weeks. I don't think my body can take much more of sitting in airplanes.

Finally got Kara in her spacesuit!
Saw this prompt as a good opportunity to pull out that masking liquid I used for “MAP” (as well as a bit of a follow up to that piece). This time I used it for a lot more stars and planets. Here’s a look at how it looked before going in with watercolors.

Thought a beach drawing might be a little fun and unusal use of this prompt. Pleased as punch with the way that snowflake turned out. Horses. They aren't the hardest things to draw in the world but they sure ain't the easiest either. Especially when trying to sketch them up very quickly. Fun tho!

Spent way longer on this one than maybe I should have. Mostly indecision on my part. Kept going back and forth on the dot eyes and including that word balloon. And my stubbornness not to use any white paint on these pieces made those speedlines really time consuming.
In the end I'm really happy with all of those decisions though! I may even prop a copy of this one above my drawing desk to glance at every time I'm feeling burned out and buried with too much work. Much like this ...
