This drawing was part of the Hq!! Siblings Exchange I got invited to on twitter. Since the reveal of the drawing was part of a set schedule, I thought it might be fun to give some additional exclusive insight on what I did in preparation to decide on how to approach this prompt:
Whenever outfits are a focal part of a drawing (or really whenever I want to treat characters to something more than a basic shirt and simple pants), there's usually an inspo board as part of the process. somet...

Speedpaint Videos are always fun and a good way to actually see how a drawing is rendered, so have this Daichi Commission as an example of how I approach my coloring for a person.
There's a couple steps I tend to repeat, but with time, processes change or evolve, e.g. I'm currently experimenting a little with my linework: Usually I draw a cleaner version of the sketch first before going into color, but sometimes I feel like I'm losing too much of the original feel along with it, which...

This four-piece series is part of my ongoing love-train of artworks for Esselles "The Job": It depicts a scene from chapter 3 where Hinata surprises Tobio with a date in the upscale restaurant on the thirty-eighth floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel.
Since I envisioned the scene similar to a storyboard for a movie scene, I started with roughly sketching the "shots" I felt were most fitting to both illustrate the moment but also being strong enough to work without text. This early stage is r...

Sometimes it's the small things: While I felt good about the proportions in the sketch phase and first coloring stages, I realised that Kageyama didn't feel quite right and adjusted his head, hand and front foot. Usually I try my best to catch those errors early on but sometimes only time and rendering actually unveil those mistakes when they become more and more apparent.
As in the second example the chin was too prominent. Sometimes it's down to preference but within the margin where ...

I always enjoy when people commission characters I like because it's the best excuse to draw them! I am a little rusty with Daichi tho, so this first WIP took longer than I like to admit, haha! Giving him the timeskip treatment is a fun experiment tho!

Because bloody Hinata has a weird hold of me - something about him just going into kill-mode speaks different to me, haha!
This drawing is the base for what inspired me to try to actually animate this moment - if it'll look as nice as this drawing does eventually? welp, we'll see I guess ( ββ‘β )

The neverending saga of me admiring Esselles "The Job" and creating art for it continues! I might have been a little overenthusiastic with this one tho because animation is a different beast and I'm very unfamiliar with it still - so this has been sitting in this very rough WIP stage for a while already.
Only the future will tell if I ever manage to complete this in a more proper state.
