Yeah I spent most of the month doing light design stuff for the dragon and kobold thingie. Among trying to figure out what a few of the characters should look like, I also started dabbling harder with 3D modelling and scene building. I want to get to a point where I can reasonably quickly build something and render it out for use in backgrounds—Blender has a rendering shader thing called Freestyle that essentially autodraws outlines and things. You can use it to export a transparent .png of the outlines and other contours of whatever geometry's on the scene. Even with some tweaking I'm not sure I'll ever get the output to match the style of my regular linework, but if it can get close enough or just give me a base to tweak, that's fine, I think. Never was too fond of drawing furniture in perspective.
