Hello again! I am back to business after the unluckiest family holiday I've ever experienced, as detailed in my previous post. Fortunately everything seems to be on the right track now, everybody's doing okay. And I wound up with a lot of time on my hands to sit in recovery rooms and draw, so the menu is LOADED this month! Just copypasting from last post, you can look forward to:
+ very romantic long-haired Rococo husbands, based on one of my favorite figurines at the Cleveland Art Museum
+ drag queen Crowley (one glam, one filth)
+ highly tender, slightly nsfw wing stuff
+ VERY nsfw smut featuring Crowley's flora (this one will be tagged and spoilered)
There will also be two paper pieces this month, including that Aziraphale with the cardinal piece. We'll see what else I can cook up. Something Valentinesey, maybe, we'll see.
Here's a little story about why I chose a radish for this month: when I was little, we watched Fairytale Theater, and their telling of Rapunzel began with a husband and his pregnant wife who was desperately craving radishes. He would sneak into their neighbor's yard to pick the radishes, even though he was sure the neighbor was a witch. Sure enough he gets caught, and agrees to give the witch their child in exchange for not hurting his wife. Campanula rapunculus is a root vegetable that's like a radish, hence the name Rapunzel.
Ever since then, I always associated radishes with doing anything for love. Plus they're cute.
