Is Romance dead?

We always get varying opinions on how much hard sex to have in the game vs. conversation and real romance. I've tried, in writing the game, to make the characters - male and female - real, relatable, interesting people with hopes, dreams, and issues.

But where do you sit on the topic? Are you interested in more or less "romance" in your "smut?" We'd be very curious to know your thoughts.

How important is the romance to you in an Adult game?
Who do you think is the most romantic/attractive character in the game? Who would you want to romance IRL?

I would say that humour, sex and romance are important. Your game naturally has a great balance between the three and, eventually, it's what make people like it in the long term (but maybe I'm only speaking for myself, idk). Nice pics and hotties could be what attract in the first place, but going behind the smut and building a story that is pleasurable to play is as important and should be kept in mind otherwise it would just be a MnF copycat. A good laugh and sweet words, some romance and some nonsense, you are already doing all this very well; maybe, like someone already says, give the player the choice while dealing with characters relation: Romance or Sex; who knows, maybe even a Keep it Friendly option, like in Behind the Dune where there is a whole SFW game-mode. Your game is pleasurable and funny with the balance you've found, keep working like you want to.

2021-10-23 20:00:57 +0000 UTCRomance is definitely an important role in these kind of games, i find myself more invested in the characters that have a romance option available as to just a physical fling. Also you need to combine both romance and the physical aspect as well. I think that is the hardest part. Cath so far is my favorite, and not because she seems to be the horniest out of the ladies (and she isn't the most romantic) but because she is also low-key very romantic. I love her romance scenes when you are in her bedroom, most of the sex scenes are very intimate. Even though Cath wants the playable character to sleep with the other ladies, she is written as if she really likes being the one that the MC choose. and the cuddling and sleeping together afterwards is the final touch to the best scene in the game so far. Funny thing is, miss Italy is written to be more romantic, and she is, but her sex scenes aren't as developed as Cath. Perhaps she can take over as the more romantic one, if she also gets some good scenes... Now i don't know how much time and resources you have on developing each character but if you have the time, why not provide 2 options for each character? In a different nsfw game that i played called S.H.E.L.T.E.R, every romanceable character has the option to be a loving romantic interest or a slutty sex slave. ideally i think that would satisfy everyone's cravings, but it definitely requires the most effort. Now that I'm writing this out i think i really, value romantic sex scenes... Like if you did do a romantic sex scene with Karen (who seems to be the least romantic character out of everyone) i would still think it would be hot as hell. So yeah, please put in more romantic sex scenes.

If the romance fits and helps move the story along, then add it in but if it's being added just for the sake of having romance in the story, then I rather just have more sex scenes. Reyna is my choice for the most romance able girl on the island. Hell, she makes you bring her flowers before she'll even give you a shot, lol.

2021-10-22 14:57:28 +0000 UTCRomance plays an important role it adds more passion to the sex much like in the real world. the connection between characters make for a more believable storyline. In this game it will interesting if the MC at one point will have to make a decision between the harem.

2021-10-22 13:35:46 +0000 UTCI like the idea, but the execution is a pretty big balancing act. I think we would need to have a better idea of what the end game would be like. Currently it's been established that everyone is pretty okay with sharing, most times that romance is applied it turns into possession or at the very least some form of exclusivity. Then again it could be as simple as looking at how much in game time you've spent with each girl and offering an "ending" with one of the girls when you are getting rescued or after getting rescued

But what I do know is the game cant forget what it is which is porn. We're all here to drop a nut not read ulysses (Famously long book). As for the other questions. Maybe offer a choice with each character whether to pursue a romantic relationship or a FWB arrangement at a certain milestone. (Which may impact the ending you get) How Important? As I said above first and foremost it is porn but if done well can really elevate the material (if done poorly it can really degrade the material) Most Romantic, Miss Italy Most Attractive, depends generally Miss Italy, but Cath is really well drawn in the repeatable scene in her cabin.

2021-10-22 07:21:03 +0000 UTCI’ve played a few lewd games being made at the moment and to be honest, I find myself more attracted these days to the ones with a richer story and more actual romance over just sex, sex and more sex. But the sex is good also. Games like ‘What a Legend!’ and ‘Being a DIK’ have such an engaging story, expertly intertwined with character development, that when the sex actually comes it feels much more rewarding.
