Celebrity Bangmatch - Bear Hug! (and a small log)

So, Zangief is back, and the frame of the comic has to extend to 16:9 just to accommodate his huge… personality. I'm back to work guys!

I hope so. on August 31 I'm having my second vaccine shot, and the first made me a wreck for a week and set off my "Silent Summer". They say that if the first give side effects, the second doesn't, and vice-versa. I hope so.

I just want to be prepared this time for the October challenge, whatever I pick.

Speaking of that… You might recall that a year ago I've talked about making a VN out of SkyHorn, then I just stopped talking about that because Celebrity Bangmatch, commissions, and my animation studies got in the way…

Unpopular opinion incoming…

And because I don't like visual novels.

At least not the mainstream perception of visual novels. A theater of paper figurines that never match up with the perspective of the background, where you have to fry your eyes (I need a new pair of glasses!) by reading the bottom of the screen for several minutes before a relevant choice comes and you're forced in the shoes of an imbecile that has no idea of his own surroundings and all the other characters have to explain him everything.

(Also, I don't get why the universal human expressions are seven and the character sprites barely reach 4. Why 2D artists are so stingy when it comes to games?)

Also, I don't like coding. I had to study everything from scratch with Ren'Py tutorials, but I was quickly overwhelmed by all the information. Also because a VN of SkyHorn would work like an adventure game, where certain events unlock only if you have collected that item, spell, or have a certain level of trust towards that character and you could move around a sort of map.

Not stuff for a beginner at all.

At my level and pleasure, I take writing fucking code I would be barely able to make a kinetic novel (visual novels without choices) where I put the care to have a different image for each scene (like the campfire animations but not everyone animated) and at least ten sprites for each character, looking more like RPG dialogue frames than paper figurines.

It would be cute, but it has to be another story, no SkyHorn for sure. So I guess that as soon as I will have some money saved I will go search for a coder (pretty sure it will pop up instantly) and give them a load of the script and graphic assets and say "here, make a game out of this, thank you!"

Does any of you have some experience, or knowledge, how this might work?
