The Beetle Knight
Added 2021-07-06 12:09:48 +0000 UTCHey pals, do you remember the commission I've talked a lot about? Well, this is the result, a guy with multiple arms and insectoid armor in the act of summoning his plant-and-eye-related spirit, while his mundane form watches in the background.
I pushed my limits with this artwork, using for the first time in a long while soft gradients and complex interactions of light and colors, which was very necessary for not overloading the piece with visual information, already abundant in the lineart.
Seems trippy, right? Well, because my client and patron commissioned it for the jumpchain challenge, a very peculiar form of aggregated fanfiction set in a multiverse where all characters from all IPs exist and interact exchange tools and powers, and merge creating all kinds of exuberantly new custom and weird characters and timelines because writers can pick up from settings and challenges where one of their mutuals gave a startup.
It’s wild, and I wish I had a proper internet connection and understanding of English when I had more free time, to get used and confident about the celebration of self-serving creativity that is the world of fanfiction.
It was fun and very interesting considering that we’re talking about a sexy but definitely SFW picture (I mean, in a no homophobic workplace, good luck finding them) and that’s why I remind you that I have also an SFW Twitter profile where I’m going to post everything not explicitly sexual, like honest opinions about one or another IP and this kind of softer art pieces, like the one featuring He-Man. It’s a self-imposed toil to send some artworks to die in a 600 followers profile, but I feel like dividing my super horny and my super silly aspects.
