Maybe you noticed that those pages are lacking the "HUD" present in the previous chapter. That's not why I'm an unreliable artist, well, I AM, but it's not the only reason.
Consider the story to this point as a sort of cutscene where the player had no agency. You got to choose the companion, the merman species to meet, but till now this story was decided by external factors, like being prisoners and having no choice but to follow the jailer. From now on both the personalities of the characters and your choices will have an impact on the story. The HUD will come back.
And yeah, the previous page was a fun experiment but such a pain in the ass to upload: a small and simple animation, but covering a large part of the canvas. The resulting file ended up weighting 10MB and I had to resize it so many times that I almost cried thinking at all the details that could have been lost.
From the next time, I'll manage animations and canvas size with more attention.
