Here we are, the 12th and last merman for this month. From now on just selections and some additional doodles. The last of the roster is kind of a whimper because turtles aren't quite present in Greek Mythology.
The name comes from a nymph that didn't attend the marriage of Zeus and was punished for her laziness, transformed in a creature that has to carry her house around all the time.
Quite a softcore story compared to the majority of Greek myths.
I just wanted to draw turtle-merman guys, with a shell structured like the ones of armadillos to justify mobility and two very robust hind fins that can help him to gallop on the land for short distances.
I imagine them being quite chill and nonchalant in every aspect of their life. Passing from bumbling kids of 99 years to old and wise men of 100 years in the blink of an eye.
The stripes on their body would be luminescent and change color with the mood, aggressive, horny, amused, or everything at the same time.
So, that's all for now guys. I will shortly publish the pool for the winner of the last round. I've seen quite a preference towards creatures with a lot of jaws, but let's see if you will surprise me one more time.
Ha, remember to vote for the ballot between the newt and the walrus. The results 'till now are surprising me.
